It was late at night. Caelum sat alone on the lounge, lost in thought, when Edward entered quietly from outside.
Caelum looked up and offered a small smile. "You can stay the night there, if you'd like."
Edward returned the smile and walked over, sitting on the sofa across from him. "I have a plan," he said. "But for now, I just want to let Charles rest."
Caelum chuckled softly. "That's good. You're giving time to your lover. Very thoughtful of you."
"Thanks to you," Edward replied, his tone warm. "None of this would've been possible without your help."
Caelum leaned back and said, "Now that Helena is no longer in this house, you're free. You can be wherever you want. And once Cassandra turns eighteen, you two can move into your mansion."
Edward nodded. "Alright. I'll wait for that day."
He stood up and stretched. "I'm heading to my room now."
Caelum rose as well and nodded. "Yeah, me too. It's late."
