“I beg you, Mia. Please tell me that this child is mine,” Henry begged as he looked at the woman holding the little boy in her arms. But, just as he reached forward to hug her—

“Dear brother, just what do you think you are doing? Why are you trying to hug my wife and son?” Lucas stepped in between the two with a cheeky smile on his lips.

He pointed to the boy and said, “Look carefully; he is my son.” 

Mia snorted upon hearing the two men fighting over her son. She hugged the little boy and smiled politely, “Last I remember, I was the one who gave birth to him. So carry on with your games, boys.” 

Mia Wills never knew how feeble life truly was until she lost everything in a matter of just a few hours. Seventy-two hours ago, she was a happily married woman who was about to head for her honeymoon. But seventy-two hours later, she met with her husband’s cold eyes, who asked her to divorce him.

"The pleasure is all mine, Mrs Harley," Mia greeted the woman back. 


Mrs Harley took her hand back and turned to look at Levi before saying to him, "Make sure that the lady has a good time, Levi. Maybe that way your friend would agree to be your girlfriend." She added with a wink before turning around on her feet and heading towards the middle-aged man, whom Mia identified as Cain, Mrs Harley's husband.


"I am sorry about that," Levi said to Mia, and he genuinely looked apologetic. He turned to look at her and said in a soft voice, "My aunt has this bad habit of teasing me every time I come to a ball accompanied by a woman."
