This was also the reason why Alex was able to stop the energy ball that the bear had shot at him. Because of how fast the energy ball was, Alex would not have been able to catch it since he couldn't see it clearly and had only managed to stop it because he had caught a glimpse of it.
Currently, the red energy ball was vibrating in the air in front of Alex's face, churning around like a ball of red liquid; it was trying to break free from Alex's control.
Alex's mask currently looked like it was covering a ball of white light as the glow in his eyes blazed through the cracks on the mask. Beneath the mask, Alex was gritting his teeth and his expression showed a struggling look.
Holding the energy ball in place was really difficult.
Seeing that its attack had been stopped, the bear didn't hesitate and dashed toward Alex. Perhaps it was incapable of firing multiple energy balls in a short time, so it went in for a close-range attack instead of shooting another energy ball.
