Markus was smiling ear to ear as he closed the to hid room behind him, finally he had completed one of his original tasks he had obtained.
Though how he completed it was definitely not how he imagined it going.
He thought he would have had to either pry the information out of Allison somehow or sneak into their house and finding it out himself, as slim as the chances of the latter were he had been willing to do it.
So completing it by chance due to overhearing his brothers conversation was a surprise.
He of course made sure to think as little as possible of the implications that said information had shown him.
The primary being that he was on the hunters radar and he didn't know why yet.
But that was future hims problem now.
For now he focused on his system wondering what other useful reward he would obtain from his system.
The last reward had granted him his Trace Gloves, which he was preparing books and other texts for in order to speed up his development.
Now he wondered what else he would be granted.
So without a thought he claimed both task rewards.

He stared in wonder at the first tasks rewards, slowly wondering what each would grant him but inside he was more curious as to which perk would be upgraded and how useful the reward was in general.
He just hoped that atleast it was worth having associated with Allison and unknowingly given out more about him than he thought.
So with a carefree smile he accepted the first and second tasks in tandem.
Immediately he berated himself for doing so.

And just like that, Markus' entire sight went to shit.
The first thing he noticed was that the faint feeling of Aura that came from the multiple people in his sense radius was magnified.
That alone caused his head to throb, what came next though had him baffled.
All around him, grey aura enveloped him and everything in his senses.
The books, the bed, the trees and the insects suddenly gained auras of their own. Each different from the other.
Inanimate objects were suddenly tinged with a grey aura, one of which he quickly understood with the sudden flare of [Genius Comprehension].
But that hadn't been the end of it to the dismay of his head which rapidly deciphered, processed and stored the information in head and for the first time he felt [Genius Comprehension] churning with difficulty as it tried to understand everything he was feeling and greatfully was able to manage.
The Auras around him, mostly concerning the inanimate objects suddenly gained a new life into them.
Sigils slowly floating at their centres.
This change had his complete and unwavering interest as all around him, sigils appeared and the more he looked at them, the more his jaw seemed to lower.
The sigils he saw had a familiarity to them, similar to the runes he had been etching not that long ago but each one seemed better, more complex, structured and complete for a reason he was still being forced to understand so long as his [Aura Source] was active.
A glance at a water bottle and the sigil plastered on its aura field had him bewildered as finally he understood the sigil.

And then once more all hell broke loose, his [Aura Source] having seemingly just been powering up to its true capabilities.
The sigils all around him each containing meanings that his weak mind tried processing and understanding at the behest of [Genius Comprehension].
Sigils containing various concepts that was painfully being etched into his brain, seeing that if he kept this going then he'd go brain dead he immediately flickered that 'switch' in his mind that he had slowly developed in order to not get overwhelmed with his past perk [Aura Control] and luckily it worked.
The switch didn't completely stop the perk from working though, that much he had deduced a while ago, instead it lowered it's capabilities to a more manageable rate.
" T-thank f-huck!" Markus gasped out loud, his knees giving up on him as he slammed to the ground, kneeling while keening on the ground.
And just when he his mind was about to recover, he was again hit with another experience.

At that moment Markus thought that his System was trying to kill him for some reason, because as immediately as the perk settled into his being he remembered.
He remembered everything, from the moment he was born from both lives to the moment he was, he remembered all the experience, the pain and stimulus he had ever felt in one heartbeat.
Said experience also holding all the understanding of the sigils that he had uncontrollably been subjected to and the pain that it had brought.
And maybe it was due to his mind already having been on its last legs that he the sudden information overload immediately knocked him out.
His last thoughts as his vision blurred to darkness being a shallow 'Fuck this system...'
