Revenge of Chaos Insurgency
Chapter 7 "New Plan for a New Future"
After we captured the bastion for more than a week, we're lucky that we captured this bastion. Sure, it had a big cannon and howitzer, but it's useless like the massive Gustav Howitzer. Sure, sure, it's overpowered, but it's worthless now.
We told the militia to dismantle the cannon except the Howitzer, and we just realized how high this bastion is. It has a good position for an observation post, but the path is too narrow. We can fix it, maybe after we confirm the situation is a bit safer for construction.
The bastion itself is half destroyed, with many of its walls having bullet holes and explosion impacts, but man, we finally have an upper hand against the GOC itself.
The head of Medic on our side said that our company has suffered 20 KIA, the militia itself suffered 10.000 KIA and 1.000 MIA, and the GOC? From 600 soldier tasked to guard this bastion, only 1 escaped, continued their fight, or retired.
The GOC itself has suffered a lot because they have lost 2 of their strategic bastion, and one of them is very strategic and in an important position, and what's their response? They request reinforcements to their HQ in Sector Atharva.
Our spy said there's more than 2 Special Ops Division and a massive change in the NCO who's in charge in the Sector Bacardi from the GOC 105 NCO Division Mountain Ranger (division non commission officer 105th) to GOC 25th NCO Division (division non commission officer 25th) a Veteran NCO Division from the S.E.A (South East Asia) Coalition Annexation War in 2028 to 2029, looks like they will be sending a veteran to eliminate all of us.
With this change, we must change our strategy because with their new leadership, that means they will play carefully in this chess of war, just to kill us and become the only ones who have the right to control the whole world.
With the arrival of the veteran NCO division, it will be harder for us and when will they arrive? 2 weeks, I guess that's how long we have before they arrived, but I hope that they get halted due to some problems or something else but now, I don't want to think about it.
The militia itself focuses on rescuing civilians from concentration camps and laboratories that experiment on civilians and children. The total number of casualties from various places is around 1-5 million deaths and 25 million from malnutrition or disease, with 100% lethality.
With the rescue and evacuation, civilian from the worst place that a soldier can imagine, the local people have work to rebuild their so-called home, clean the rubble and reconstructions the fallen building, but the casualties of the bombardments in many cities before has taken more than 20 million casualties, many of the victim is children, elderly and teenagers. Those who survived either disabled or died to the GOC patrol or next bombardments, tragic but what can we do, the GOC would rather waste ammo then sacrifice and tell their soldier to attack forward to minimize casualties on civilian, they think this place is a Cartel or mafia place that need to be exterminate but they are just civilians.
Do they care if they killed civilians? Of course not. They have propaganda as the Hero or Savior of Humanity; will they care if they get exposed? They will, to avoid their reputation getting ruined to dust.
As the short term of peace continues, the echoes of war still keep playing in my mind as it invites me to go to the front line. I don't want to sacrifice myself for the sake of what? Nationalism? That's horrible, but I'm willing to lead a militia if the GOC makes me angry.
It marks the beginning of fall, the leaves start to fall from their tree and give a romantic sensation, some of our soldiers have found their love with the local civilians who love them too, I guess it's fine as long as their morale is up for the future. As I keep walking, the sight where the leaves fall reminded me of when Arthur and I, with my stepparents, took a picnic in fall at Los Angeles, it reminds me of the same thing, but the difference is? Now I'm alone, walking, and my stepparents died a few years ago due to an accident. As I keep walking around the city that start to rebuild itself from the ruins, I'm amazed that they work very well and quick if I say, usually it's going to take a long time but I guess it's somehow the feeling of unity with someone else to rebuild the home or the city you live, probably someday I can be there with someone I love, building our home and create a new story but it's impossible for now.
Kiriyama, on the other hand playing with the children at a nearby park, trying to comfort them to make the children who suffer in the war forget their trauma when they see their own family, house, and everything turn into dust in front of them.
I can rarely see Kiriyama smile with a crowd of children, probably her habit, I guess so, but let's just keep things that going to make my brain overheat out of my mind first, I want to take a rest from this war.
The following month, we don't have any fights, and the intelligence spies have taken some important information inside the GOC and said there will be a chance for a stalemate or a ceasefire. If this were true, then we could heal ourselves back to being "human". The war has changed me into something like a grim reaper to take every enemy soul I find.
And my team created their nickname that suits me, "Death Leader", let's leave them to imagine their creativity, I want to focus on deciding a new plan with the possibility of cease cease-fire.
We probably can stock up our resources from HQ or prepare ourselves for the future war, but we suffer 1 thing, sponsorship, if we can get someone or organization to sponsor our war, if we can get at least a sponsorship, we can continue the war, we can't rely on the raw material from our new area and sell it, it's not good, we don't have the equipment to make it to a better one, such as steel and electronics stuff, like chips, it's can help our continuations for war and surpass the GOC in this area.
But with this shit keep going on and corruptions that slowly take over in the T.O.P Leadership, this war will turn into a disaster, ugh those pieces of crap, hope they understand if not I'm going to take their life with my hand.
Walking in the city at night, it has slowly healed from the war, with many people rebuilding buildings that were destroyed. The night was cold, but it heals me with the cold that cold my heart, it calms my heart slowly, as the wind of cold wind wraps around my body, I can feel refreshed again.
As I relaxed in the park, someone patted my shoulder. When I look at the person who pats my back, it was Kiriyama, just returned from the nearby orphanage, giving her a space to sit, I let her sit next to me.
After she sat next to me, she offered me sake again and took it from her, and we spent our time. While drinking the sake, the night gets late, but we continue to drink more sake. We both started getting drunk from the sake, but we continued to drink more until it was noon, and both of us had drunk all the sake stock for the rest of the month.
As the night got late, the night became much colder. As we both sat in the park, the moon shone in our positions and took us to something that calmed our hearts. Suddenly Kiriyama stands up and looks at me from her shoulder.
Suddenly Kiriyama talks to me while she's still drunk, "The moon is beautiful, isn't it?"
I only reply, but I don't know what she means by it at first. "Yes, I wish I could watch it with you for good."
Kiriyama only chuckles and looks at me, before suddenly grabbing my chin and kissing my lips, shocking me when she does it. I try to refuse, but she kisses me too deeply.
After she kissed me, she left me, leaving me stunned by what had just happened. Did she get too drunk? Or why does she suddenly kiss me?
The next day, when I met with Kiriyama, it was kind of awkward because last night, when she had just kissed me too deeply on the lips, it had caught me stunned.
It's very awkward to talk with her after what just happened last night, I only replied to the response last night because we both are more like friends. After ignoring it and taking it more seriously for the future, we both got some new information from the GOC's last movement. It states that they start getting more weapons and defense, it looks like we will not be using any planes anymore.
Without me realizing it, Kiriyama not only took the kiss last night too deep, but it looks like she took an interest in me, which is very awkward.
