Chapter 55 - The Enemy Encountered Again

Yifeng: "All combat personnel, quickly reorganize your formations. Pay attention to staggered positioning and don't cluster together. General Barto, please lead the troops to protect our magic unit. I'll hold off the enemy leader."

"Yes, Your Highness!" General Barto replied and departed.

"You think you can challenge me?" Ding'er sneered, looking at Yifeng.

"Don't underestimate me! Take this!" Yifeng charged forward, drawing his blade and unleashing a flurry of attacks. Ding'er dodged continuously. "Not bad, kid, but this ends here!" Ding'er declared, kicking Yifeng to the ground.

"Tch!" Yifeng launched another attack. The two clashed fiercely, with Ding'er gradually gaining the upper hand. "Where's that bravado now?" he taunted.

Yifeng wasn't just the prince of the Haifei Kingdom; he possessed strength rivaling that of legendary heroes, the kingdom's trump card in resisting the demon clan until now. But this time, his opponent was one of the three demon generals, far stronger than a demon commander. Even Yifeng struggled to keep up. After more than a dozen rounds, the fight reached its climax. Ding'er pinned Yifeng down, his sword at the prince's throat, ready to deliver the final blow. "Die!"

At that moment, a bolt of lightning struck, forcing Ding'er to dodge. Amid the sound of galloping hooves, Judo and Luoye arrived.

"That's Ding'er? Wasn't he killed in that explosion? How is he here?" Judo exclaimed in shock upon seeing Ding'er.

"You know him?" Luoye asked.

"He's one of the three demon generals from the demon realm. He once drove us to the brink of despair, but my comrades should've defeated him," Judo explained.

"Luoye? You're okay! I'm so glad!" Yifeng called out joyfully upon seeing Luoye.

"Brother!" Luoye ran toward Yifeng.

"How did you escape? Are you hurt?" Yifeng asked, looking her over.

"I slipped away while the demons were resting. This is Judo, the hero who protected me and brought me back," Luoye replied, wiping away tears.

"Now's not the time for reunions. I don't know why he's still alive, but he's a formidable enemy. Everyone, stay sharp!" Judo said, readying his spear.

"Look who we have here—a member of the Xiustan Hero Squad. What brings you here?" Ding'er remarked, surprised to see Judo.

"Didn't you perish with Kaiya in that mutual destruction? How are you still alive?" Judo shot back.

"Hah, it was all strategy. Gahu's back too. The only ones dying are you!" Ding'er retorted.

"What?! Gahu's alive too?" Judo was growing more confused. "(Could the enemy be using resurrection magic too?)" he wondered.

"Enough chatter—die!" Ding'er unleashed a blast of demonic flames. Judo dodged and engaged Ding'er in combat. However, Judo had never defeated Ding'er before and soon found himself struggling. Yifeng joined to help, but even two against one couldn't easily overcome Ding'er's strength. While Judo and Yifeng fought above, the demon and Haifei armies clashed below. Luoye, helpless, could only watch.

"Ugh!" Judo and Yifeng were eventually overpowered.

"If only Kaiya were here," Judo muttered, unwilling to accept defeat. "(No, I can't always rely on others. I'm a hero too!)" Gritting his teeth, Judo stood up. Luoye rushed to check on them, but Ding'er grabbed her.

"Let me go!" Luoye shouted.

"Fine," Ding'er released her, only to fire a demonic bolt at her as she fled. The bolt struck, and Luoye screamed before collapsing.

"Luoye!" "Sister!" Judo and Yifeng cried out in anguish. Ignoring their injuries, they stood.

"You bastard!" Judo pushed his power to its limit, launching a frenzied, suicidal assault on Ding'er. Yifeng attacked desperately too. Faced with their relentless onslaught, Ding'er struggled to hold his ground. Forced to transform and fight at full strength, he growled, "I won't let you win!"

Judo, burning his very life force, surpassed his limits, now rivaling Kaiya's strength. "Tch, how'd you get so strong all of a sudden?" Ding'er grunted, barely defending himself. Yifeng seized an opening and severed Ding'er's right hand, causing his sword to fall. Judo unleashed a new ultimate move, Extreme Thunder Strike, piercing Ding'er's chest.

"Why…" Ding'er gasped, blood pouring from the gaping wound as he collapsed.

Judo and Yifeng rushed to Luoye's side. She appeared to have only fainted, spared from fatal injury. Suddenly, a flash of light shot toward them. Yifeng was struck through the back and fell, spitting blood.

"Who's there?!" Judo turned to see Ding'er slowly rising, his wounds healing.

"You thought it was over?" Ding'er sneered.

"You monster!" Judo, enraged, gripped his spear, ready to fight again.
