Chapter 56 - Final blow

"Go to hell!" Judo bellowed, delivering a fierce blow toward Ding'er. Ding'er parried with his sword, shouting, "Why are you doing this?!" Judo, attacking relentlessly, roared, "Filthy humans deserve to be wiped out!" Ding'er scoffed, and after a few exchanges, he severed Judo's spear. In an instant, Judo conjured a thunderous spear woven from lightning, his eyes gleaming with electric fury. Enveloped by millions of volts, his body crackling with energy, he transformed into a thunder god, his presence now overshadowing Ding'er. Unfazed, Ding'er unleashed a power greater than what he had used in his duel with Kaia. This life-or-death battle was inevitable. The two clashed in the sky, scattering the thick clouds above. "It's been a while since I fought this fiercely. Your strength is no less than his," Ding'er said, exhilarated. "I'll avenge them both. Your blood will be their sacrifice!" Judo retorted. They traded blows, Judo wielding an array of lightning magic while Ding'er countered with dark flame spells.

On the ground, the army clashed with the demon forces. "Avenge the prince!" General Bato roared, leading his troops in a bloody struggle. The mage corps unleashed a barrage of spells on the demon ranks, while the Third Army's commander, Moyinti, directed a fierce counterattack. In a forest nearby, the Tenth Army's commander, Kemir, led reinforcements to join the fray. The Haifei army stubbornly resisted the Third Army's assault, but with the Tenth Army's arrival, they were now caught in a pincer attack, pressure mounting. With the prince and princess fallen, only a lone ally stood against the enemy general. General Bato, fighting on both fronts, was stretched thin. The outcome of this battle was already clear.

Though Judo pushed his potential to the limit, he could only match Ding'er, who had also reached his peak. This fight rivaled the Battle of Shustan, with everyone staking their lives. Their power now surpassed Kaia's at that time, the sky painted red with their flashing blades. Roye, regaining consciousness, saw Yifeng lying in a pool of blood and cried out in anguish, "Brother!" Unable to use magic, she couldn't heal him, making her the most helpless on this battlefield. Clutching Yifeng, she gazed at Judo fighting in the sky, lost and unsure. Under the demons' relentless assault, the Haifei army dwindled, more soldiers falling. "Looks like this is the end for you," Moyinti sneered. "(If this continues, Haifei's forces will be annihilated. Is it time for my final gambit?)" Judo thought, silently channeling his life force into his right hand, preparing for a desperate all-or-nothing strike.

General Bato shouted, "Princess, you must retreat! I'll cover you!" Facing overwhelming odds, he knew they couldn't hold out long and issued a withdrawal order. "No, everyone's fighting to the death here. I can't flee alone," Roye said, tears streaming down her face. "If only I could do something," she lamented. Her tears fell onto the pendant at her chest, which suddenly began to glow. Roye held it in astonishment—a royal heirloom passed down through generations of women, harboring a mysterious power. The light shone on her forehead, and she seemed to awaken something within. Her eyes opened with resolve, as if transformed. She cast a spell she'd never used before, healing her brother beside her. "Wasn't I dead?" Yifeng said, opening his eyes in shock. "Brother, you're awake!" Roye exclaimed, overjoyed at the miracle she'd wrought. "This is… unbelievable!" General Bato gasped. "Did you save me?" Yifeng asked. "I'm not sure. A light hit me, and I felt an energy I've never known. Then I could use healing magic," Roye said, beaming at Yifeng.

Meanwhile, Judo finished charging his power. Seizing a moment of vulnerability in Ding'er, he darted forward, pressing his right hand against Ding'er's chest: "Seal of the Demon God!"
