Leonhardt kept glancing at the wristwatch strapped to his hand as his father sipped slowly on his tea. It was almost as if Mr. Castiel was deliberately dragging each sip, as though savoring every drop just to prolong the moment. Finally, he set the cup down.
They had been discussing for a while now, and Leonhardt could barely hold back his restlessness. He was anxious to hear the final words that would wrap up the conversation so he could leave. It was already 10 p.m., and he still needed to meet Kaelith.
"You seem restless. Are you already tired of being here with me?" Mr. Castiel asked, his gaze piercing as he stared at his son.
"Not really, Dad," Leonhardt replied, trying to sound calm. He added, "But since we're done discussing politics and I now know who to deal with and who's on our side, I feel like I should get going. I've actually got some other things I need to take care of."
