"Yah!" Casa clenched his fists, surging with the strength of the Mad Bull Fruit, and leapt forward, aiming to hammer the giant sea frog but the frog wasn't slow. Its long, slick tongue shot out, slapping Casa aside with a wet smack that echoed underwater.
"Damn it, this Sea King spawn is ridiculously tricky how the hell do we fight something with a tongue like that?" Casa grunted, rising from the coral-laced seabed. The enormous sea frog's elastic, whiplike tongue made closing the distance nearly impossible. Every time he or Enel tried to get near, the creature lashed out, forcing them to retreat.
"We need to switch up the rhythm take turns attacking. That'll force this Sea King mimic to divide its focus. If it can't target us both at once, we'll have an opening," Enel suggested, his voice calm despite the electric tension in the water around them. He knew from experience distraction was a powerful weapon.
"Solid plan! I'll go first! Soru!" Casa vanished with a blur, using the Navy's Rokushiki technique in tandem with his Devil Fruit. The Mad Bull Fruit's brute-force power combined with Soru's high-speed movement compensated for the Fruit's usual lack of finesse melding power and agility in perfect sync. The sea frog, already whirling its tongue defensively, began lashing out blindly in all directions, generating powerful currents that battered nearby coral.
"Surprise, froggy! Taste this!" Casa reappeared behind the beast mid-charge, his arm pulled back for a devastating punch. But the frog's tongue arrived a fraction of a second earlier, intercepting the strike mid-swing. Casa, sensing the risk, aborted the punch dodging with practiced reflexes and skimming out of reach.
"Discharge~!" Enel raised his arm, lightning coiling around him as he fired precise blasts at the frog. Enel's lightning, now insulated by a specialized hydrogel developed after joining Rin's crew, allowed him to attack underwater without electrocuting nearby sea life.
Yet the lightning didn't faze the sea frog in the slightest its thick skin was coated in a strange, shimmering mucus. The slime repelled the current, dispersing it harmlessly. The mucus wasn't just insulating it was seemingly designed to nullify electrical attacks entirely.
"What the? My lightning... it didn't even tickle it?!" Enel exclaimed, stunned. Other than rubber and high-level Haki, nothing had ever withstood his Raigo. And now, a giant amphibian had just shrugged it off like sea foam.
"If you can't zap it, then punch it! And use Observation Haki to dodge that damn tongue.you've got it, right?" Casa called out. In their team, both he and Enel had mastered Kenbunshoku Haki. That meant reading attacks before they landed turning them into ghosts of the future.
"Guess I've got no choice." Enel gritted his teeth and activated his Haki, scanning the frog's movements. He dashed forward, lightning trailing faintly behind him, fists clenched.
"Rankyaku!" Casa leaped again, releasing a slicing vacuum blade from a powerful kick. The Rankyaku, a technique from the Rokushiki, sent a wave of compressed air hurtling toward the frog. It struck squarely against the frog's back but like before, the thick mucus absorbed the impact, the slash sinking into the slime like a blade into tar. It didn't break through, but it peeled off some of the outer layer.
"This slime... it's no joke. It's not just slippery—it dampens both physical and elemental attacks. What kind of creature is this Sea King offshoot?" Casa muttered, observing the peeled layer dissolve into the sea.
"You're right. If we can strip that slime, I can fry it like a Sea King stew!" Enel's eyes sparked with renewed intensity. The answer wasn't brute force it was attrition. They had to wear down the mucus coat first.
"Roooooooaaargh!" The sea frog, sensing hesitation, went on the offensive. Its tongue lashed toward Enel, while its forelimb slammed down toward Casa like a coral-covered hammer. Enel blurred out of the tongue's path using his teleportation burst, appearing several meters away. But the frog was fast.another strike came instantly, this time from behind.
With Kenbunshoku Haki active, Enel predicted the movement. He spun, charging a punch laced with Armament Haki and high-voltage lightning.
"Try dodging this!" Enel snarled, slamming his fist into thin water right as the tongue materialized in the space he'd sensed. The impact was instant. Lightning surged from fist to tongue, traveling up into the frog's nervous system. The beast convulsed, spasms racking its huge frame.
The tongue recoiled in pain, twitching uncontrollably. Enel had coated his fist in both Haki and raw electricity, bypassing the mucus defense through direct contact. It wasn't just a punch it was a conduit.
Casa, seeing the opening, dodged the frog's massive forelimb and surged forward.
"Bull Rampage!" He struck with full force into the frog's exposed abdomen. The blow landed flush no mucus there to shield it.
"Whooooragghhh!" The frog reeled and spat out a torrent of viscous green liquid. The moment it hit the ground of Fish-Man Island, the surface began corroding instantly. The acidic mucus, denser than seawater, didn't disperse. Instead, it sank melting holes into the coral landscape.
