Zane's POV ~
Rhys is rumored to be gentle and quiet. Well, I suppose, among all five Alphas, he is the one who always carries that calm and collected look. The only one I never had an issue with....probably because we've never really had a proper conversation. No real talk. No deep interaction. No romantic scenario, either.
But the moment we stepped foot into his fashion house, something shifted. The air changed almost instantly.
Naturally, I expected the workers to be friendly....smiles on their faces, laughter in their voices, warm greetings exchanged as they interacted with Rhys and me. But unfortunately, that wasn't the case at all.
Instead of warmth, I was met with fearful stares....tense expressions and stiff postures. Their fear was unmistakable. They weren't reacting to me.
They were reacting to him.
