King Killian's brow furrowed, a deep frown pulling at his face as he yanked the car door open. Empty. He leaned in, scanning the back seat just to be sure. Still no sign of her. His frown deepened, tension creeping up his spine as his pulse quickened with panic.
He glanced left and right. Nothing. No trace of her. He checked the car again to see that her phone was still there.
"Fuck," he muttered under his breath. "Where the hell could she have gone?"
King Killian drew in a long breath as he took in her scent. He was about to try to sniff her out when he heard her familiar soft voice. "Killian!"
He immediately snapped his head in the direction and was shocked to see her far across the road at an ice cream stand, smiling and waving at him. She gestured for him to come and even as she was far, he could hear her soft giggles.
King Killian shook his head as he realized that he was worried for nothing. But he quickly raised his hand up a little, his rather stiff way of waving back.
