Suppressing the rising fear in his heart, the Third Raikage thrust his Hell Stab: One-Finger Nukite straight at Kai Mitarashi.
"The strongest spear! Disappear for me today!"Kai said coldly, his expression unyielding as he stared at the Raikage.
"Arrogant brat!"
The Third Raikage'sHell Stab: One-Finger Nukite pierced directly at the Truth-Seeking Orb, aiming to shatter it completely.
But the expected scene did not unfold. Instead, the Raikage's finger passed effortlessly into the Truth-Seeking Orb.
"What is happening!"
Before he could process his confusion, a sharp pain shot from the tip of his finger throughout his entire body. His finger—was gone!
Looking at the Truth-Seeking Orb, the Third Raikage was consumed by an overwhelming sense of terror. Yet, his body's momentum was unstoppable. His hand, wrist, and even his entire arm plunged into the orb. Without a single drop of blood, his entire arm was annihilated within the Truth-Seeking Orb.
"What is this thing!"
The Third Raikage could hardly believe what had just happened. His Hell Stab: One-Finger Nukite, hailed as the strongest spear, had been effortlessly countered. But the emptiness where his right arm once was told him everything he needed to know.
"Truth-Seeking Orbs,"Kai said plainly, not bothering to hide the truth.
"Truth-Seeking Orbs?"
The Third Raikage frowned, unfamiliar with the term. After all, though the ninja world had developed for over a millennium, the legacy of the Sage of Six Paths had long faded into mere legend.
"There's no need for you to understand,"Kai said indifferently. "Since your strongest spear has been broken, let me erase your strongest shield as well."
The Third Raikage no longer dismissed Kai's words as arrogance. His entire body crackled with intense blue lightning, forming a protective armor of electricity around him.
Kai slowly raised his right hand. Nine pitch-black Truth-Seeking Orbs circled his wrist, gradually converging in his palm.
Looking at the Third Raikage, Kai spoke coldly: "Third Raikage, to die under this ultimate jutsu is an honor for you."
"Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion!"
Golden light erupted from Kai's hand, blinding everyone on the battlefield. A long, endless golden blade extended from his palm, stretching infinitely.
With just a light sweep, the Third Raikage's lightning-clad body disintegrated into nothingness. The Lightning Release Chakra Mode offered no resistance. Not a trace of the Third Raikage's existence remained.
The golden blade extended endlessly, slicing through the earth itself. Mountains, plains, and rivers were all cleaved apart under the might of the Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion. Even the Land of Lightning was split in two.
On the battlefield, both Konoha and Cloud ninjas froze in place, their battles forgotten as they stared in horror at the scene before them.
"Is this... is this even ninjutsu?"
Jiraiya could hardly believe his eyes. The devastation before him defied all comprehension—it was beyond a natural disaster.
"Father!"
A heart-wrenching cry echoed across the battlefield. The Fourth Raikage, A, or perhaps it was more fitting to now call him the Raikage, charged at Kai with a face full of hatred.
Lariat! The signature taijutsu of the Raikage lineage in the Hidden Cloud Village!
The Fourth Raikage dashed madly toward Kai, his entire body slamming forward.
But against a god-like Kai, how could the Fourth Raikage even come close?
"What, do you wish to follow in the footsteps of the Third Raikage? If so, I can grant your wish,"Kai's voice echoed from behind the Fourth Raikage.
Yet, Kai did not intend to wipe out the Fourth Raikage. To him, keeping the Hidden Cloud Village and the Land of Lightning in constant fear and submission was far more beneficial for gaining prestige.
Moreover, the Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion had nearly drained all of Kai's chakra. Continuing the fight would force him to rely on the Eight Gates to recover chakra.
Clearly, someone capable of becoming Raikage was no simpleton. The Fourth Raikage glanced at the Eight-Tails, who was being overwhelmed by the stone colossus, then at the demoralized Cloud ninjas on the battlefield.
"Cloud ninjas, retreat immediately!"
The Fourth Raikage's eyes burned with hatred as he glared at Kai, his fury barely contained. Yet, he suppressed his anger and, with reddened eyes, ordered the retreat.
"Konoha has won! We've won!"
The battlefield erupted with cheers from Konoha's ninjas.
"Kid, is this that Tenseigan technique you mentioned?"Jiraiya asked, his face full of shock.
"Yes,"Kai nodded.
"That's insane."
Jiraiya instinctively wiped the nonexistent sweat from his forehead. "The Tenseigan, huh? Such a powerful kekkei genkai... why have I never heard of it before? It's even stronger than the legendary Rinnegan."
At this, a look of reminiscence appeared in Jiraiya's eyes.
Seeing his expression, Kai knew exactly what he was thinking. Most likely, the Akatsuki had already formed, though the fake Madara Uchiha—Obito Uchiha—had yet to emerge. This meant that Yahiko was still alive. Should he disrupt Madara's plans entirely?
As for which was stronger, the Rinnegan or the Tenseigan?
Kai pondered briefly. While the Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion could cleave the moon in half—a terrifying feat—it was worth remembering that the moon itself was created by the Sage of Six Paths using the Rinnegan.
Chibaku Tensei and Heaven Concealed were techniques no less formidable than the Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion. It was hard to say which was truly superior.
Interrupting Jiraiya's thoughts, Kai shifted the conversation: "With this battle, the war with the Land of Lightning should be over."
Jiraiya nodded. "Yes, the death of the Third Raikage will throw the Hidden Cloud Village into chaos. Although the Fourth Raikage has already been designated, the sudden death of the Third Raikage will undoubtedly stir unrest. In any case, the Cloud ninjas won't be launching another attack on Konoha anytime soon."
