I still find it difficult to believe that Leonard had not suspected that I was behind the fire outbreak even when the evidence and testimonies of the security agents proved otherwise.
And to think that I did all of that for nothing was making me feel like a fool. How did I not check to be sure that there was an insurance policy against fire outbreak?
I picked my phone which had begun to ring from the table, and peeped at the screen. It was Andy, I noted with worry. He was definitely calling to remind me that I owe him like I didn't already know that.
I answered the call reluctantly, and placed the phone on my ears.
"You're messing with the wrong guy, Louis. Where the fuck is my money?" He yelled into the phone, making me flinch.
"You know just how hard I'm trying to get the money. We blew up my company because of it, remember?" I reminded him in a polite tone, and wondered again how I got mixed up with the likes of him.
