Idris proved to be a better distraction as his presence put a sudden end to the discussion I was not ready to have with Leonard.
Not only was Leonard distracted, I too was also distracted so that when we eventually had the talk regarding Louis' criminal act, a few days had already passed.
Leonard and I had just finished having breakfast, and we were still seated on the dining table even though Sarah had already cleared up. And no, we weren't hiding from the children, just enjoying the peace brought about by their absence.
"I think it's time I make use of the emergency fund." Leonard started to say, and my eyes narrowed in worry. Until that moment, I didn't think or remember anything about the fund, and I was not prepared in the slightest way to have this conversation.
