As Tanjiro approached the {headless demon} and unleashed Surface Slash, the demon's torso twisted 180 degrees, bringing it face-to-face with Tanjiro and blocking the attack.
Sparks and water flew. Tanjiro didn't deflect the attack but met force with force.
This wasn't recklessness; he wanted to restrain the {headless demon} and create an opening for Inosuke.
"Inosuke, cut its arms!" Tanjiro yelled, ensuring Inosuke heard him.
Speaking affected his breathing, weakening his stance. The {headless demon}'s force pushed him to one knee.
Inosuke, seizing the opportunity, used the technique Tanjiro described, severing the {headless demon} from the neck diagonally down to the waist.
The pressure vanished, and the {headless demon} began to disintegrate.
"We did it! Inosuke!" Tanjiro exclaimed joyfully.
Remembering the blood collection, he took Yushiro's tool and collected blood from the disintegrating body.
Inosuke remained frozen in his attack position.
Tanjiro called out tentatively, "Inosuke?"
Inosuke dropped his Nichirin Blade and charged at Tanjiro.
Tanjiro was surprised.
"What you can do, I can do too! Go, Tanjiro!" Inosuke hugged Tanjiro, throwing him high into the air.
Initially confused, Tanjiro realized Inosuke had thrown him towards the {female demon} controlling the silk threads.
"You wanted to help me! Inosuke!" Tanjiro realized.
He adjusted his posture mid-air, preparing a downward strike.
The {female demon}, having lost control of the {headless demon}, was distraught.
Feeling the slack in the silk threads, her hands trembled. She despaired, muttering, "Defeated! Defeated!! That puppet was my fastest, strongest… It's all that brat's fault for threatening me! I rushed…"
Sensing danger, she looked up.
"Above!"
Seeing Tanjiro descending for a killing blow, her eyes widened in terror.
