On the other side, Wu Shi the Great Emperor spoke solemnly:

"In the future, there is still a deviation."

They had once gathered to deduce the Heavenly Dao, calculating how to face the ancestors in times to come. Thus, they all went into hiding, feigning death, waiting patiently for that fated day when they would rise from the ruins and strike back at the Earth.

But destiny, no matter how precise, is still just calculation.

The Ten Ancestors, sensing the emergence of new variables, awakened ahead of schedule, seeking to crush all possibilities of change.

Ye Di looked at the Ruthless Empress, his expression mixed with emotion:

"Why did you come? Didn't we agree you'd stay hidden, seeds buried in ashes, waiting for the right moment to lead the people of the future toward hope?"

The Werewolf Empress smiled, unfazed:

"The future belongs to those of the future. We, the people of this era, must fulfill our duty in our time. The fate of tomorrow will find its own champions."

Ye Di was momentarily stunned. Then, a bold, heroic smile rose on his face.

"So this is the truth! Then we shall fight, and never die!"

At that moment, an unshakable resolve erupted from Ye Di, radiating across the heavens.

He stood tall again, body upright, spine unyielding. Though his flesh bled and his face was streaked with blood, his imperial might endured. His gaze burned like lightning, his spirit unshaken.

The Ten Ancestors regarded them coldly, showing no emotion.

"What a brilliant world. Since you've come willingly, we won't need to hunt you down later. As you wish, we'll bury you together with Huang and Ye."

Instantly, the Ten Ancestors attacked again. Their massive crimson palms stretched across the heavens, covering the sun, enough to make thousands of worlds tremble and countless Emperors fall.

Their strange and ominous aura could dry lightning, turn chaos into dust, and obliterate everything.

"We have been here. We have fought. We have no regrets!" Ye Di roared with resolve as divine light burst from him, setting him ablaze as he charged at the Ten Ancestors.

The Emperor Fist swept across the sky, like a hundred thousand suns exploding all at once.

"We came. We fought. We have no regrets!"

Wu Shi the Great, Liu Shen, Emperor Gu and others laughed as they rushed forward.

Farther away:

"We've been here! We've fought! No regrets!"

Creatures such as the Dog Emperor, Pang Bo, Tianjiao Ant, and the Ten-Crowned King shouted in unison.

"Kill!"

"Even killing one is not a loss. Killing two is profit!"

They laughed, soaked in blood, charging forward with wild abandon.

"Useless struggle," one of the Ten Ancestors said coldly, waving his right hand.

Countless strange troops raised their butcher blades.

A merciless battle erupted—no retreat, no fear!

The Chaos Sea boiled. The land turned red with blood.

"Die!" roared the horned ant on the battlefield of Daoist Ancestors.

His body, unmatched in power and resilience, began disintegrating into a mist of blood under the assault of a Luju-class weapon—a rusted mace swung by a strange Daoist from the Earth.

Despite his legendary strength, the ancient weapon shattered his body. His flesh peeled away, his bones cracked, and the light of his soul began to dim.

The attacking ancestor sneered coldly:

"Huang is nearby—call for him! Let him come help you!"

But the horned ant stayed silent, letting his body explode into blood mist. He refused to cry out, unwilling to disturb Huang's focus.

In his heart, he whispered:

Huang, my brother, we've journeyed together since youth. Too many years have passed. I'm tired. I can't keep up with you anymore. Please live on, protect yourself. I don't want you to die. I… I'm going now. Goodbye.

With a soft burst, the last of his soul scattered into nothing. He never made a sound, never reached out with his spiritual sense—only took one final look at the battlefield.

The one who once followed Huang from the Nine Heavens, crossed foreign lands, leveled boundary seas, and suppressed darkness… vanished.

"The horned ant!!"

Countless roared, eyes bloodshot, tears flowing.

"Ye, goodbye. We'll meet again in the next life!"

Pang Bo coughed blood, facing a terrifying strange Daoist Ancestor who obliterated him with a single strike.

Though Pang Bo had entered the Dao Ancestor realm, he was still no match for someone nearing the Immortal Emperor level.

He was not Ye Di, nor Huangdi. He didn't possess their power to transcend realms.

He had given everything he could.

Boom!

A crimson palm crashed down, erasing his presence.

In his final moment, Pang Bo turned with effort, eyes searching the place where Ye Di fought—his dearest brother.

Together, they were drawn into the stars by the Nine Dragon Coffin, trained side by side, lived through countless ordeals.

To keep up with Ye Di's pace, Pang Bo had even devoured the Emperor's Coffin. He persevered through unimaginable trials, guided by Ye, to reach this day.

Ye… goodbye.

A final shimmer of soul burst and faded, leaving behind only rain-like light.

Ye Di's eyes quivered. Sadness swept over him.

All of them… gone.

"Hahaha! This old man lived from the Chaos Era to now! I've lived enough! No regrets!" Elder Meng laughed, strangled a Daoist Ancestor, and was immediately obliterated by a descending imperial weapon.

"Elder Meng!"

Voices wept and roared.

This old man who fought through the Nine Heavens, the Chaos Era, Divine Ruins, and Desolation… was gone.

"Emperor!"

Huang's son charged into battle, soaked in blood, his face strikingly like his father's.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Three strange Daoist Ancestors struck, pinning him beneath an ancient bronze coffin.

"Whoever wants to kill my nephew must go through me first!" roared Shi Yi, the Double-Pupiled genius.

Once Huangdi's rival in youth, he had offered his life to save him during dark times. Later, Huangdi revived him.

Now, in the fiercest battle, Shi Yi's immortal pupils shone black, unleashing devastating beams that destroyed surrounding enemies.

But too many foes swarmed him. He was nearing exhaustion, drenched in blood, his once-immortal eyes fading.

With a final burst of strength, he smashed the bronze coffin, freeing Huang's son.

"Uncle!"

"Let's go together!" cried Huang's son, supporting Shi Yi.

"Okay," Shi Yi smiled.

Together, they soared skyward, faced countless enemies, and killed three more before disintegrating into radiant light.

"Brother! Uncle!"

Huang's youngest child screamed, charging into the fray, soon drowned in enemies and slain.

Everyone who witnessed it could no longer bear the sight.

Huangdi… lost his children again.

In the ancient chaotic times, he suffered this once.

Now, once more, his family was gone.

He… stood alone.

A man of pure loyalty and undying love.
