Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 Milo Field's Popularity

Isabella Weaver drove back to school, parked the car downstairs at the dorm, and then went back to the dorm to catch up on sleep.

She thought she wouldn't be able to fall asleep, thought she would think about bits and pieces of Milo Field, but unexpectedly she fell asleep in no time.

Even in her dream, Milo didn't appear; instead, it was Harry Hunter's cold face, taking her hard-earned nine thousand dollars and still unsatisfied, forcing her to call him dad one moment, and demanding a million the next.

After waking up at noon, Isabella poked her own head, softly scolding herself, "Isabella, you're really more sensitive to money!"

She got up and carried a basin to the communal bathroom to wash up. Walking in the corridor, she heard various comments, and once she was in the bathroom, the discussions grew even louder.

"Hey, have you heard? Our campus heartthrob Milo Field got signed by a TV station, reportedly with a million annual salary!"

"I knew it already, it's spread all over campus. God Field has both looks and talent, and he's studying our school's top major—broadcasting. Several TV stations are competing for him, a million a year is normal!"

"Oh my god, will we be able to see him on TV every day? I really love his voice, so deep and gentle. I wish I had a boyfriend like that!"

"Stop dreaming, those chasing after God Field could queue from our school to the moon, whoever becomes his girlfriend must be one-in-a-million beauty!"

...

Isabella paused her teeth brushing for a moment, then continued brushing as if nothing had happened.

Milo Field had an outstanding appearance and a unique voice, entered the school with top professional scores, and had always been the school's famous persona, while she was a little nobody. She didn't even understand why Milo Field would pursue her proactively.

Although they were boyfriend and girlfriend, it was always an underground relationship. The only one who knew the truth was Gilly Scott.

Her roommate Molly Cox appeared beside Isabella out of nowhere, poking her with damp fingers, "I remember you were quite close with God Field. Didn't he tell you in advance about signing with such a good TV station? Or did you know earlier and just didn't tell us?"

Isabella rinsed her mouth and said in a very calm tone, "I really didn't know."

Milo didn't give a hint, he only said his interviews weren't going well and that the pressure was immense. The news about him being signed by the TV station was probably the last thing his girlfriend learned.

No, she wasn't anymore.

Hearing Isabella's off tone, Molly immediately asked, "Could you two have broken up? You used to mention him with a smile, but today it's like each word is dipped in ice!"

Isabella nodded very straightforwardly, "Mm, broke up, don't mention him again in the future."

She didn't want to hear that name anymore.

"What's going on? Just last week when you had a cold, I remember he brought you cold medicine. Didn't he care about you a lot?"

Isabella didn't respond, simply washed her face, then carried the basin back to the dorm.

Molly hurriedly followed, just about to ask more when suddenly Isabella's phone rang.

She peeked over and yelled excitedly, "Isabella, look, it's God Field's call, answer it quickly!"

Isabella took the phone, directly pressed hang up, and then started changing clothes to go out for lunch.

Molly stood there dumbfounded and then said in shock and regret, "But that's God Field, Isabella, you actually hung up on him directly! Do you know how many girls on campus would love to talk to him? You're just so..."

She wanted to say Isabella was ungrateful, but didn't know why, she also found Isabella's cool demeanor when hanging up the phone a bit impressive!

Countless girls cried and clamored to cling to Milo Field, only Isabella, she just tossed him aside!
