Isabella hadn't spoken yet when Milo Field's face changed.
He despises the idea of others knowing about his romantic affairs!
Fuming, he said, "Isabella, why would you casually tell our business to outsiders? Can't we settle our personal matters privately? I've already apologized to you, Gilly even knelt before you, and you're still upset with me?"
"I'm not upset; I'm genuinely breaking up with you."
Isabella's attitude was overly indifferent, which worried Milo that she might truly leave him, so he slowed his tone, "It was my fault, you can hit me or curse me, just don't be mad at me anymore. I've secured a job, and we haven't properly celebrated it together yet. How about I take you out for a western dinner tonight?"
A surge of indescribable anger rose in Isabella's heart. What gave Milo such confidence that she would forgive his infidelity? How should she put it so he would let her go?
A familiar figure emerged from the club, and as he passed beside Isabella, a sudden idea struck her!
She took a deep breath, stepped forward, and linked her arm through the man's, casually telling Milo, "You should go, I already have a new boyfriend!"
Harry Hunter glanced down at the hand wrapped around his arm, retracting the step he'd just taken.
Interesting.
Just walking along, and he picked up a girlfriend.
But Milo didn't believe it, "Isn't this the owner of the car you mistakenly hit? Stop fooling around, come back to school with me! Excuse me, sir, I'm sorry my girlfriend troubled you. We'll discuss compensation for your car later."
As he spoke, he reached out to grab Isabella, but Harry suddenly wrapped an arm around Isabella's waist and moved her aside.
Harry's expression was cold, "No problem, my lady just smashed a glass window. As long as she likes, she can smash the whole car. She doesn't need compensation, but you do. Pay up, a million!"
Milo was suddenly stunned, this plot development was entirely beyond his expectations!
Had something happened he didn't know about?
Instinctively, he said, "Impossible! The one she loves is me, Isabella, tell me this isn't true!"
Isabella was held by Harry, and her body stiffened for a moment; she hadn't expected Harry to cooperate with her this much.
But she couldn't let the opportunity slip, so she bit her lip, gave Harry a slight smile, then tiptoed and kissed him on the cheek.
"This is true; I don't love you anymore. The person I love is him."
Milo was finally defeated by that kiss, turned red-eyed, and left.
Once Isabella saw him leave, she hurriedly pushed Harry away, whispering, "Thank you!"
The soft body left his embrace, and Harry furrowed his brow; she really was using him and then tossing him aside!
He didn't say a word, getting into a slowly approaching business car, and left.
Isabella let out a sigh of relief; Harry had been such an intimidating presence, and her actions just now had been incredibly risky, luckily he didn't pursue the matter.
Cora Ginger came over, winking and nudging, "Isabella, do you know that wealthy guy? What's the story with the smashed glass? It seems like he's interested in you; he was really cooperative with your acting just now. You should seize the opportunity here! This type, even in our club, is top-tier and in high demand!"
Isabella didn't want to bring up the glass incident, she gently shook her head, "It's not quite knowing him, just some minor misunderstanding before."
Cora didn't believe her, but she didn't ask further, as many things in the club are better left unexamined.
She grabbed Isabella's hand, laughing, "Alright, alright, I'm nearly starving, let's go have something delicious! I know a restaurant that makes dumplings with soup filling—they're an absolute delicacy, so good you could swallow your tongue. I'll treat you!"
