The maintenance team arrived just in time, their uniforms stained with grease and panic. But fixing the roller coaster wasn't as simple as they'd hoped. After a quick inspection, they discovered the fault wasn't electrical—it was mechanical. Something had jammed near the top of the coaster, close to the circuit board that controlled the descent. Without climbing all the way up to fix it, the machine wouldn't move.
Worse still, the forklift they usually used for emergencies was broken.
"We need another one," the head technician said urgently into his radio. "Request a replacement from the nearest factory. ASAP."
Time was not their friend. According to the system diagnostics, if they didn't cut a specific wire at the top circuit within the next twenty minutes, the roller coaster would go into reverse. That meant a deadly drop backward—something the structure wasn't designed to handle.
But they didn't tell the crowd.
Panic would only make things worse.
