Chapter 76 - Thwack!

The group stretched their necks, slowly peering down the slope, their faces a mix of terror and uncertainty. What could possibly be down there?

To their surprise, they spotted a group of people camping at the bottom of the slope. But to make things worse, Sam had unknowingly peed down there.

The echoes they had heard earlier? They weren't just random sounds. They were the startled screams of the unfortunate campers, victims of Sam's unexpected "shower."

Sam blinked in confusion before shouting, "Huh... What are you guys doing here?!"

Ori, still twisted in uncertainty, turned to him. "Wait… you know these people?"

Sure enough, looking up at Sam with a mix of annoyance, disbelief, and slight trauma, was none other than his old mates—Toping and his crew.

They stood frozen, eyes twitching, their clothes still damp from the horrifying experience.

Toping, his face scrunched in pure irritation, jabbed a finger at Sam and shot back, "What are you doing here?!"

Ori, still utterly lost, kept glancing between Sam and the furious group below. "You know these people?! Who are they?!"

Toping scoffed, "This guy literally just pissed down on us."

Sam let out a long sigh, rubbing the back of his head. Then, without hesitation, he jumped down the slope, landing in front of them with a thud. "They are my old mates."

Jangla, watching the scene unfold with barely contained amusement, smirked. "Well, that's one way to have an unforgettable reunion—one they'll never forget, even if they want to."

Sam, dusting himself off, turned back to his group with a nostalgic look in his eyes. "They were my mates three years ago. I couldn't spend much time with them, but I still remember the times we did."

Just then, a strange chill filled the air.

A shadow loomed behind Sam, its presence dark and ominous.

"Then you must also remember me. "

A deep voice, laced with quiet menace, sent a shiver down his spine.

Sam stiffened.

Slowly, he turned around—only to find himself face-to-face with Shon, her figure eerily still, her eyes glowing red like a emerging from the abyss.

THWACK!

A single, thunderous sound echoed through the night.

The next thing Sam knew, he was knocked out cold. Shon walked away in anger for the special treatment.

Roslin, standing at the slope with a raised eyebrow, leaned forward slightly. "Is he still alive?"

Sam groaned weakly, barely lifting his head to look up. His blurry vision caught sight of his group, their figures distorted.

"Am I… in heaven?" he muttered dazedly.

Jangla smirked, folding her arms. "After what you just did? Heaven is out of option".

Liabilities and the boys also came searching for them saying they heard a loud THWACK sound.

Tsunamis said that sound came from down there, you see that big round, but empty shell over there(Sam head)

Bori's eyes landed on the camp and asked, "Are there other campers here too?"

Ori nodded. "Yeah, a few people are camping here."

Jangla added with a smirk, "And the introduction was done very grandly… I'm sure they'll never forget it."

Liabilities, ever innocent, glanced around. "That's great! But… where are they? I don't see anyone."

Tsunami responded, "They went down to the river to wash up."

Liabilities frowned. "In this cold weather? They must be some kind of freaks."

Roslin, without missing a beat, pointed at Sam. "The real freak is down there."

Chingla tilted her head. "Maybe someone should go down and check on him?"

Jangla waved her hand dismissively. "Nah, let him suffer a bit longer."

Sam, still groaning, weakly lifted his hand. "I can still hear you."

After a few more moments of lying there, he sighed, rolled onto his side, and stretched. Despite everything, he bounced back almost immediately, returning to his usual self.

Then, as if nothing had just happened, his eyes landed on a small fire burning near the camp.

"Oh, look! There's a fire here!" he exclaimed, casually walking toward it and enjoying the warmth.

The group exchanged glances.

Tsunami shook his head. "Yep. He's fine."
