Paola arrived at Grandpa Dario's house and hurried inside, because she didn't want any more unnecessary attention.
People, especially elderly women, had been staring at her as if what happened to her stomach was their business.
She took out Foxy from her shirt, before she took him upstairs to her bedroom.
As she got to the second floor of the house and entered her room, she went ahead and laid Foxy on her bed, before she examined his breathing. "He is breathing just fine". She sighed in relief after confirming that he was asleep and not in any critical condition.
"I was so scared". She admitted. Crazy, right? But when Foxy fainted, it reminded her of her own death.
No family or friends stayed by her side as she drew her very last heavy breath.
Dipping her hand into her pocket, Paola took out her cell phone.
She turned it on and was staring at the screen. "Why hasn't he called or replied to the message I sent him earlier?". She muttered and sighed.
