Ericka was panting as they traveled. Even though they were caught and having a heated argument, she suddenly had a vision. She looked at Thalia beside her. She tried to reach Thalia's palm, and when she touched it, they were back inside the warehouse.
But they were walking far, and the atrocities happening inside each room were revealed to her sight. She was deafened by the cries, sobs, and pleading voices she heard now, the laughter of demons slicing flesh, as if she was also hurt by what she was seeing.
She blinked when they got into a vehicle. Ericka saw the four siblings who were abducted back then taken straight to the warehouse, and she witnessed the torture of Ellese while she was still alive, Chesca, who barely spoke and endured every punishment inflicted on her body, and Felisa, who was sitting on a chair, watching her siblings.
Are you really going to imprison me? Am I really the one you're challenging? They heard the anger in Ellese's father's voice.
Dad, please, surrender to the police; we will forgive you for what you did to Mommy and Aunt Bianca. Felisa pleaded, her voice weak due to her injury.
Their father slapped her face with all his might; she noticed Thalia's cheeks bleeding at that moment.
Do you know that I am striving because of you? If only your mother wasn't so weak-hearted and didn't give up on me, we would be a great family! Such foolishness ruins it. I'm really greedy, especially—especially for what I'm striving to achieve.
Dad! What you're doing is no longer right! Mommy just wants to keep your hands clean from evil. Mom is saving you! But, but, little by little, you're immersing yourself in the mud. Ellese was brought to tears by what she said.
Even our older brother Giovane, you smeared him, you smeared our brother, you brought him here to measure Giovane, didn't you? Isn't it?? Dad, we love you; please, stop this. Many innocent people are already getting hurt. Mikaela's voice was pleading.
You really take after your mother, who is so weak-hearted. I love you, but I would choose wealth over you. If you betray me, it would be better for me to end your lives one by one. You are the obstacle to my plans.
They returned to darkness and ended up in the forest where the two siblings, Mikaela and Chesca, were escaping, their bodies exhausted. It was raining when Vince picked them up.
There was a person crawling on the ground, covered in blood and on the verge of death. Fernan, the one they saw on the brink of death, was finished off with a shot to the head. Ericka was shocked, and it seemed like she could no longer handle what she was seeing from the past.
"That's enough. That's enough," she whispered as they found themselves again at Fernan's cousin's house.
They clearly saw what happened: that house was not robbed but deliberately entered to kill Fernan's remaining sibling; she heard the pleading not to involve their youngest, but the shooter had no heart and wiped them all out.
Ericka noticed Thalia's trembling hand, but she was trying to be brave in what they were witnessing now.
"Thalia, you also need to see something from the past." Ericka said while holding her hand.
Thalia stared at her.
"I would rather not travel anymore; my mind can't handle what's happening in the past." I don't know where I belong anymore, Ericka." Thalia couldn't help but say.
"All of this will come to an end; all of this will come to an end."
They ended up in darkness, which is why she furrowed her brow, because she knew the place where they were now. She sees the souls wandering aimlessly, traveling through the endless darkness, carrying the hatred and anger of their death.
"What—what are we doing here?" Thalia asked her.
"I don't know." Ericka could only shake her head; even she was getting confused by what they were seeing. Many souls appear to them, each with different forms and different fates. They see their past struggles before disappearing.
Thank you very much. Whispered by a soul to her, Thalia was also surprised by what was happening.
Jasmin appeared to her; she was no longer the soul full of sorrow; it seemed she was finding peace. Jasmin suddenly hugged her, and Thalia was taken aback.
They glimpsed what would happen in the future, and tears fell from her eyes. Jasmine smiled at them and vanished like a bubble in their eyes.
Thalia stared at her; Thalia needed to know the truth about what happened to her parents.
She couldn't see Ellese and Felisa; she knew their souls were still restless.
"Thalia, accompany me once more on our final journey." She smiled at Thalia.
Although her mind was confused, Thalia just nodded.
They were in front of Thalia's house when Thalia gasped. They saw two people.
"Mom, Dad," Thalia called out to her parents. She saw the children and a baby back then; she knew it was Greg.
Ericka closed her eyes; she wanted to see what happened again. What kind of evidence was gathered, and why is it important?
They will know that.
This is my final journey. Ericka thought to herself back then.
