Chapter 76 - Chapter 76: Existence Is The Terrible Power Of Evil

"What kind of ability is this!?"

The gathered captains of the Gotei 13 were shaken.

Just a moment ago, they had clearly seen and attacked Aizen Sōsuke—yet somehow, it had been the captain-commander they struck.

"That kid said… he controls the five senses!?" Yamamoto Genryūsai frowned and looked over at Nanaya.

"No," Aizen corrected calmly, holding Kyōka Suigetsu by his side. "To be precise, it's not just control over the five senses."

"It's Complete Hypnosis—it manipulates all five senses to make the enemy mistake everything about an object: posture, appearance, texture, touch… even taste. All of it becomes a false reality."

Aizen turned to Yamamoto, his voice steady."Captain-Commander, you must've noticed something was off just now… right?"

Yamamoto narrowed his eyes.

Indeed… when he had struck, there was a strange feeling—like the Aizen in front of him wasn't truly real.

But he had never seen such an ability before.

So he had still swung his sword.

"Just like that bastard said…" Sui-Feng muttered, biting her lip as she looked at Nanaya. "Can he really see through this level of illusion?"

She felt a tinge of regret. If only she had taken Nanaya's warnings seriously, she might have avoided injury.

Aizen turned his eyes to Nanaya as well."Such a remarkable gaze… To think even my Kyōka Suigetsu couldn't deceive it."

Nanaya curled his lips but didn't reply.

"Captain Aizen!"Ichimaru Gin appeared beside him, breathing heavily as if he'd just escaped death. His gaze lingered on Nanaya with clear dread.

He had killed Tousen Kaname without the slightest effort.

If he had been a second slower… he might have ended up just like him—turned into one of those grotesque puppets.

"Tousen Kaname… is he really dead?" Aizen looked at the chewing maw of the King of Hell and sighed.

"What a pity. Another comrade lost."

"Someone like you… do you even know what regret is?"

A cold voice echoed from within the statue.

Suddenly, the mouth of the King of Hell opened—and out crawled Tousen Kaname, covered in black rods, a Rinnegan in his eyes.

"Huh!?"Aizen's expression finally cracked.

The captains froze in disbelief.

Tousen, now reformed as Human Path Pain, stood slowly. His eyes locked with Aizen's.

"Aizen… what's with that look?" he said coldly. "Aren't we comrades?"

And with that, Nanaya directed him forward—Tousen gripping his Soul-Slaying Sword, rushing toward Aizen like a shadow.

Mid-sprint, he shouted:

"Bankai!""Suzumushi Final Style: Enma Kōrogi!"

A pulse of black Reiatsu burst forth. The oval void of the Bankai expanded, swallowing Aizen and Gin into absolute darkness.

Every sense—except touch—was stripped away.

Inside that void, Human Path Pain allowed only one sense to return:

Hearing.

"You said we're comrades…" he whispered coldly."Then if I die—shouldn't you die with me?"

With that, he cut off their hearing again.

Then he moved like a ghost, blade flashing, slashing without mercy.

For the first time in ages, Aizen's expression changed.

He raised his right hand.

"Hadō #78: Zangerin!"A swirling blade of wind and spiritual energy erupted from his palm, slicing part of the black dome.

But it wasn't enough.

Immediately, he followed up with:

"Hadō #88: Hiryū Gekizoku Shinten Raihō!"

A colossal bolt of blue lightning exploded outward, tearing through the Bankai with overwhelming power.

The darkness shattered—

But not before Human Path Pain's blade sank into Aizen's shoulder, leaving a deep, bloody wound.

Aizen staggered backward, eyes sharp.

"He's stronger…?" he muttered. "After becoming a puppet?"

The old Tousen was one of the weaker captains—his Kidō could barely scratch Aizen.

But now… he had landed a blow. A real one.

Nanaya watched with satisfaction.

After all, he could inject his own Reiatsu into his puppets… even control their swordsmanship directly.

Of course Tousen was stronger than ever before.

The captains who watched were shaken.

Not just by Aizen's injury.

But by Nanaya.

Their gazes turned to him—not as a comrade…

…but as something monstrous.

He had turned a dead man into a weapon.

And it was stronger than it had ever been in life.

This power wasn't just unnatural—it was unholy.

When someone dies, their story is supposed to end.

But Nanaya's power made sure they could never rest in peace.

He could force them back, turn them into tools, and unleash them against anyone—friend or foe.

If he stood on the side of justice, maybe they could ignore it.

But if Nanaya ever turned evil… just that ability alone could make him a threat to all of Soul Society.

Yamamoto, calm as ever despite the chaos, didn't flinch.

He ignored the new Human Path Pain entirely.

Instead, he stepped forward, Ryūjin Jakka burning in his hands, and slashed down toward Aizen again with a thunderous roar.

Nanaya let out a sigh."Stubborn old man… that's your other disciple."

Kyoraku Shunsui's scalp tingled instantly.

No wonder it felt like he was burning alive—The old man really was about to cleave him in half.

Kyoraku Shunsui barely dodged the strike in time.

Yamamoto Genryūsai's brows drew into a deep scowl. He held Ryūjin Jakka in check, unwilling to swing again—one wrong move, and another captain could be killed in a single blow.

"So, old man…" Nanaya crossed his arms, smirking. "Wanna follow my orders now?"

Yamamoto's eyelid twitched.

A vein bulged at his temple.

He nearly lost control then and there—ready to incinerate this insolent brat just to shut him up.

But before he could act, the sky above the Seireitei suddenly tore open—A jagged, pitch-black crack, as if ripped apart by some hideous, otherworldly force.

"That's… a Black Cavity!?"Sui-Feng's eyes widened in horror."How can a Menos Grande's portal appear here!?"

The captains turned skyward, expressions grim.

The Black Cavity—a dimensional rift used by Hollows to invade the human world—had never appeared in the heart of the Seireitei.

"ROARRRR!!!"

A ghastly, bone-chilling cry echoed through the sky.

From the void, massive silhouettes emerged—

Dozens of Gillian-class Menos flooded out, their towering forms blotting out the sun, white masks gleaming, their movements slow and pained but overwhelmingly heavy.

Behind them… a far more massive presence loomed in the darkness.

Its eyes alone burned like twin searchlights in the void.

Then, amid the chaos, a golden beam of light descended from the heavens—Enveloping Aizen Sōsuke and Ichimaru Gin in a protective column.

"Negación…" Byakuya Kuchiki's voice was calm but cold."A Menos Grande retrieval beam. It cannot be broken. A shield used only to rescue their own."

He turned a sharp, accusing gaze toward the two men being lifted skyward.

"Aizen. Gin. Are you… collaborating with the Menos Grande?"

A chill spread through the captains.

Betrayal was one thing.

But allying with Hollows?

That was blasphemy.

A sin beyond redemption.

The ancient hatred between Shinigami and Hollow was absolute—a war with no truce.

Aizen's body slowly rose within the golden light, his gaze detached, voice calm:

"This is merely… the pursuit of a higher plane."

"You've fallen, Aizen…" Ukitake Jūshirō stepped forward, his voice heavy.

Aizen didn't even look at him.

Instead, he looked down on them all—like gods must look at ants.

"You are all too arrogant…""From the beginning—no one has stood at the top."

"Not you.""Not me.""Not even God."

"The empty throne in the sky… will no longer be vacant."

"From this moment forward, I will stand above all others."

As the last of the golden light encased him and Gin, Aizen turned to the horizon.

"Farewell, Shinigami…""And Nanaya—truly, you're the most fascinating human I've ever seen—"

"Oh shut up!" Nanaya rolled his eyes.

"Why are you acting like some tragic philosopher!?"

"What, is being human a crime now? Did we eat your food or something?"

Licking his lips, he turned his attention to the vast number of Menos emerging from the rift—spiritual power oozing from their every step.

His eyes gleamed.

He was hungry.

After staying in the Seireitei for more than half a month…He had missed the taste of Hollow Reiatsu.

Nanaya crouched slightly, Reiatsu swirling beneath his feet.

Then he bolted—straight toward the golden beam.

"Wait—Nanaya! That's Negación! You can't break through it—!"

Shihouin Yoruichi's voice called out to stop him.

But in the next second, her eyes went wide.

Nanaya didn't stop.

He ran straight into the golden light of the Negación—

And vanished.
