Ninja Academy.

It was an exceptionally lively day—even more so than the first day of school.

Because today was graduation day.

The sixth-year students were about to graduate as genin, officially becoming part of Konoha's workforce.

Frankly, the system was a little ridiculous.

While the shinobi world matured children early, sending twelve-year-olds into life-or-death battles was absurd. Their survival rates spoke for themselves.

In peacetime, things were relatively safe.

But in war? Genin were thrown straight into the meat grinder, lucky to make it out alive.

Of course, those who survived were hailed as prodigies—like Uchiha Itachi or Hatake Kakashi.

But the lack of proper education often left them with psychological scars.

In his past life, even universities had counselors.

But in the shinobi world? No such thing existed.

Now that he thought about it, Uzumaki Naruto might actually be perfect for the role—with that "Talk No Jutsu" of his.

Sixth-Year Class A.

Mizuki stood at the front of the classroom, smiling at the students.

But his gaze lingered on Uzumaki Naruto and Uchiha Sasuke.

A flicker of jealousy burned in his heart.

Damn these geniuses, getting everything so easily...

Meanwhile, he was stuck here as a lowly academy instructor.

Inside the seal space, Naruto suddenly looked up, confused.

"Did I do something to upset Mizuki-sensei?"

"Hmph. Why bother with the malice of an ant?" Kurama's disdainful voice echoed.

"Speak properly!" Kushina glared at him. "Don't corrupt my son, you stupid fox!"

"..."

Kurama opened his mouth but then sighed.

"I'm not a fox... and I don't stink."

He sounded aggrieved—but what could he do? One wrong move, and those golden chains would come crashing down again.

"Still, it's best to be cautious." Minato smiled warmly. "Never underestimate anyone. That's your father's wisdom."

"Got it." Naruto nodded.

"Alright, go finish your exam." Minato gestured outside. "The teacher's calling your name."

Naruto snapped back to reality.

The graduation exam was supervised by two instructors—Mizuki and their homeroom teacher.

Naruto stepped forward and performed the required techniques: Clone Jutsu and Transformation Jutsu.

"As expected of the Fourth Hokage's son." Mizuki smiled brightly. "Your mastery of the Three Basic Jutsu rivals that of a chunin."

Inside, however, he was seething.

A brat not even ten years old, already surpassing me in the basics?! How is that fair?!

"Thanks, sensei." Naruto took the forehead protector, perfectly aware of Mizuki's resentment but maintaining his politeness.

"No need. Head to the archives for registration." Mizuki kept his smile intact.

In the original timeline, he would've tricked a failing Naruto into stealing the Scroll of Seals.

But now? He didn't dare.

With a sigh, he thought, When will I ever get the chance to serve under Orochimaru-sama?

Naruto left and completed the paperwork, officially becoming a genin of Konoha.

But the day wasn't over yet.

Next came team assignments.

"Wonder who my sensei will be?" Naruto mused.

"Probably a skilled jonin." Minato puffed his chest proudly. "I was the Fourth Hokage, after all."

"That title's useless now." Kushina rolled her eyes. "Don't worry, son. As a jinchūriki, you'll get the best."

"My guess? Kakashi." Minato analyzed. "He's already training Sasuke, who'll likely be your teammate."

As a former Hokage, he knew team placements were never random.

Uchiha Sasuke—the last survivor of his clan—was a natural choice.

His Sharingan could suppress Kurama's power, and forming a bond with Naruto would be beneficial.

"Sasuke, huh?" Naruto grinned. "With him around, genin life won't be boring."

"That's not the point!" Kushina smacked his head. "It's the third teammate! I want a cute girl on your team!"

"..."

Naruto went silent.

Girls? Annoying.

Sakura was bad enough, always clinging to Sasuke and disrupting his training.

Meanwhile, Fourth-Year Class A.

"Ugh, why isn't today a holiday?" Sakura groaned. "Not seeing Sasuke-kun ruins my appetite!"

"Then give me your lunch." Ino smirked.

"Ino-pig!" Sakura glared. "Keep eating like that, and you'll turn into a real pig!"

"Hah! Jealous of my figure?" Ino proudly straightened her posture.

"..."

Sakura froze, then desperately countered, "J-Just wait! I'll catch up when I'm older!"

"Doubt it." Ino sighed dramatically.

"You—!" Sakura clenched her fists.

Before she could retort, Iruka entered the room, forcing her to drop the argument.

"Hinata, come with me." Iruka scanned the class.

Hinata blinked in confusion as she stood.

"Huh? Hinata, did you forget your homework?" Kiba asked, cradling a white puppy.

"As if she's like you!" Sakura snorted.

"I did do mine!" Kiba protested. "But Akamaru ate it!"

The pup, Akamaru, growled in protest.

"Hahaha... He's still new, so we're not fully synced yet." Kiba rubbed his head awkwardly.

Outside, Hinata asked, "Iruka-sensei, is something wrong?"

"Hinata, your skills already surpass a genin's. Have you considered early graduation?" Iruka smiled. "You've outgrown this class."

Hinata paused.

No one had mentioned this before.

"Why bring it up now?" she asked. "Sakura and Ino are also capable."

"Sharp as ever." Iruka chuckled. "Lord Sasame wishes to take you as his student."

"Eh?!"

Hinata's mind blanked.

Wait… Father said I was to be Sasame's wife…

Since when did that change to student?!

But refusing Sasame wasn't an option.

After a brief hesitation, she nodded. "Iruka-sensei, I'd like to apply for early graduation."

"Good. Follow me."

Iruka wasn't surprised.

After all, this was the Hokage's advisor.

Not even the Hyūga heiress could decline.

Graduation Hall.

Hinata's arrival drew attention—both for her status and her striking Byakugan.

At this level, no one dared mock the Hyūga princess.

Still, she felt uneasy under so many eyes.

Years of training under Sasame had toughened her, but old habits lingered.

"Hinata!" Naruto waved.

Sasuke frowned. Another girl? Great.

Hinata approached, exchanging polite greetings.

Thanks to Ino and Sakura, she'd interacted with them before.

"You graduated early?" Naruto asked.

"Yes."

"Then we might end up on the same team!" He nudged Sasuke. "Right?"

"Whatever." Sasuke scoffed. "Just don't slow me down."

"Sasuke, be nicer to girls!" Naruto hooked an arm around his neck, mimicking Kushina's tone.

"Tch." Sasuke turned away.

Suddenly, the door opened.

A group of shinobi entered—their future senseis.

"Cheer up, Kakashi." Sasame patted his shoulder. "Even if I'm leading Sasuke's team, he's still your student."

Kakashi sighed.

Just his luck.

He'd thought Sasuke's team was guaranteed to be his.

But then his superior stepped in.

What a mess.
