Kuro was shocked that he said it like it was nothing. "..Are you drunk?" He had to make sure that he was in his right mind and was really talking from heart.
Ryui laughed, "Of course not, who do you take me for?" Kuro looked down to the ground and then looked back up at him, "If you're not drunk then are you sure you're not bipolar?"
Ryui froze and then burst out laughing, "Haa.. Kuro, you're so innocent. That's the thing I love about you." Ryui unconsciously reached his hand out and put a strand of Kuro's hair behind his ear.
His hand lingered on Kuro's face longer than expected, he then reached out and ruffled his hair. "You always ask so many questions.. When are you going to stop?" Kuro's ears flushed, "W–what do you mean?!" Ryui chuckled again and smirked. "See? That's exactly my point."
"Fwwaahh.. Why are you here? Really!" Kuro asked again, questions piling on top of questions. "I'm here because I wanted to see you, puppy, I lied about Mizuki sending me here." Ryui replied, adding in a pet name to see him get more flushed.
His eyes widened, "Why are you suddenly calling me a pet name now?!" Kuro was so confused, still thinking that he's drunk. "Are you out of your mind?"
"No, I'm not. Please trust me," He stroked Kuro's hair gently, unlike how he was so aggressive the past few days. "We barely know anything about each other! I bet you don't even know my favorite color!" He accused.
Ryui put a hand under his chin, giving the thought of him thinking, "Isn't it purple?" Kuro was baffled, "You just guessed! Plus, how would you even know that, that was my favorite color?"
Kuro looked up at him, "You really are an enigma.." Ryui smiled, "Is that a good thing?" Kuro shook his head, "'Course not!" His ears were still slightly red, reminiscent of previous actions. "Puppy.. Can you come back with me to my house? Please?"
His voice softened, and was gentle. As if trying to persuade him into going with him. "No, I don't want to.." Ryui's face turned into a scowl, "Are you serious? I'm trying to be nice here, stop resisting."
Kuro growled, "Stop being like this then! Maybe if you had a better first impression, I would've said-"
Kuro's head turned abruptly, and he felt a strong stinging on his cheek. Ryui had slapped him hard, his left cheek burned up.
And his hand went to his cheek, covering it. "...Ow," his voice was low and he was tearing up slightly as an instinct but quickly wiped it away.
Ryui's eyes widened and turned into concern and guilt. "Crap–Kuro! I'm sorry," his hands went up and clasped around Kuro's face. "Are you okay..?"
Kuro looked at him, his eyes narrowed. "Are you crazy?! You just slapped me, of course I'm not gonna be okay!" Ryui whimpered slightly, like a sad dog. "I'm sorry.." He then hugged Kuro tightly, as if it was the end of the world.
He was shocked, he had never seen this part of Ryui before, being so affectionate. "What's up with you..?" He rested his head onto his shoulder. Ryui heart skipped a beat when Kuro did that. "See? So mannyy quessttions.." he exaggerated dramatically.
Ryui rested his head on top of Kuro's. Their bodies inches apart, "Will you come back with me now..?"
