Since Naylah's funeral, Jayden hadn't minded meeting Tom and his stepsisters. Well, it was his choice whether he chose to meet them or not, and he said he wouldn't be nailed if he didn't.
At first, Jayden had promised himself that he would have nothing to do with them, but with time, at least, he figured that leaving them just like that wasn't entirely the best thing to do.
Sure, it wasn't like he had any thoughts of living with them. Of course, he would never think about something like that...
But he wanted to help them, especially the three kids who were definitely lacking a lot.
Vena, Teresa, and Katie... He had somehow found it hard to forget their names, but he believed it meant something.
"Perhaps Dad would want me to do this," he muttered.
That same day, he traveled to the city where Tom lived. It was a low-class bungalow in an underdeveloped street. Jayden continued to wonder why his mother had settled for this, but he tried to get those thoughts out of his head.
