The lion groaned and raised both his paws to cover his head like a guilty kid. He let out a series of low growls, clearly trying to protest.
"Rrrrhh… Rrrrrhh!!"
(What the....what did i even do ).
"Oh, shut up!" Abaya snapped. "Don't act like you're the victim!"
She looked back at Kaya with an apologetic smile, still fuming at her brother.
"I swear, he has no brain. Just muscles and fur."
Kaya still hadn't moved.
Her brain had registered exactly three things:
1. She just got yelled at for being stunned.
2. This lion got beat up again.
3. Abaya's face was really close.
Too close.
Suddenly, Kaya felt a small tug on her jacket.
She turned and saw Rin standing there, looking at her with a puzzled face.
She snapped out of her thoughts. "Oh—right." Then she looked back at the woman and said, "Kaya. My name is Kaya."
Abaya smiled warmly. "Nice to meet you, Kaya. So, dear customer, what can I get you?"
Kaya's eyes shifted to the meat on display. "Um… this meat. Is it fresh?"
