After this series of Operations, Hayato easily wiped out the eight Small Fry, taking less than ten minutes in total.
Directing the guys who lost the Duel to help move the chairs and benches back into the shop, Hayato closed up the store and announced they were closing early, setting off to find Yugi and the others who had been pulled away by Rebecca.
Having left a full ten minutes earlier, Yugi and the others were long gone, but after a moment's thought, Hayato knew exactly where they had gone. Rebecca was planning to Duel Yugi, and there was only one place in Domino City suitable for a formal Duel—
"KaiBa Land, KaiBa Land." Looking at the towering building before him, Hayato read out the name on the majestic and cool Blue-Eyes White Dragon Statue in the center of the plaza in front of the building.
After Kaiba inherited KaibaCorp, he shifted the focus of their work from military arms to the entertainment industry. "KaiBa Land" was his way of realizing his ambition—a comprehensive entertainment center combining elements like amusement parks and zoos, with the Goal of opening branches across Japan and the dream of having a presence worldwide.
And as an entertainment center, KaiBa Land could naturally be used for Dueling, and Dueling was even the main way KaiBa Land attracted visitors. This was because—compared to other entertainment centers, KaiBa Land's Duel Platforms were equipped with the Virtual Projection System, which could maximize the appeal of Duel Monsters. And Virtual Projection Technology was a Patent of KaibaCorp.
To experience this technology elsewhere, you either had to attend other large Matches, or spend a fortune to purchase large Duel Platforms authorized for production by KaibaCorp.
Although the "KaiBa Land" Project hadn't been promoted for long and hadn't successfully spread nationwide yet, as the location of the headquarters, Domino City definitely had a "KaiBa Land". Because the cost wasn't very high, even Joey Wheeler would occasionally come here to play a couple of Duels.
Anyway, the loser usually paid.
If Yugi and the others wanted to Duel, this was the only place they would likely come.
As soon as he walked through the entrance of KaiBa Land, Hayato saw a familiar figure standing in front of the Customer Service Center.
Skillfully handling various matters and relaying his Orders to different departments via the network, although he looked like just a kid, as the younger brother of that genius who surpassed his era, he was clearly not a foolish person; rather, he was a super genius.
It was just that compared to his brilliant older brother, Mokuba Kaiba's talent was slightly inferior.
Before Hayato could even open his mouth to greet him, Keipei, who had just finished handling something, noticed Hayato walking into the KaiBa Land building and greeted him happily: "Ah, Brother Hayato!"
"Yo, Officer Minami Rika." Hayato raised his hand in greeting.
"Stop using that joke!"
Keipei Ranted: "You're clearly a really capable guy, but you're so unserious. Brother Hayato, you're definitely going to be single your whole life!"
"Heh heh, that would be great. Women only slow down my Draw a Card speed." Walking closer to Keipei, Hayato affectionately ruffled his head and asked, "Yugi and the others are here, right?"
"Yeah, they're at Duel Platform number 11. Brother Hayato, are you here to find Yugi and them?" Keipei tidied up his hair, which had been messed up by Hayato, and without even looking at the data tablet next to him, he directly reported Yugi and their location.
"Heh heh, KaiBa Land is very popular. Reservations for the Duel Platforms are almost booked up three months in advance. If I hadn't helped Yugi and them out, they wouldn't have had a Duel Field to use today~"
"After all, it was Kaiba's idea. That guy is a genius."
"Heh heh, of course." Hearing Hayato praise his older brother, Keipei smiled even happier than if he had been praised himself.
"Alright, I'll go find them then. Sabo, you keep busy." Hayato raised his hand, but Keipei was one step ahead, covering his head with both hands to protect his hair, making the attempt to ruffle it fail. Smiling, Hayato pinched Keipei's soft Face before running off.
"Ah, that guy!" Keipei said, slightly annoyed, looking at Hayato's back as he ran off after getting the better of him. Turning back to look at the tablet next to him, he found a chocolate-flavored Lollipop placed on it.
Taking the elevator up to the Duel Monsters Theme Park, and passing through a bunch of decorations filled with Kaiba's Strange aesthetic—a Blue-Eyes White Dragon Fountain, a Blue-Eyes White Dragon Statue, a Blue-Eyes White Dragon Chandelier, and even a Blue-Eyes White Dragon Signpost with a Finger pointing towards the Restroom—Hayato found Duel Field number 11.
His Luck was good. Yugi and the others hadn't walked much faster than him. As he walked in, the Duel Platforms on both sides were slowly rising, clearly indicating that their Duel had just begun.
"You guys are really something, leaving me alone in the shop and making me deal with all those people by myself."
"Ah, Hayato, you're here too." Joey Wheeler turned his head, saw Hayato walking towards them, and quickly apologized: "Sorry about that. After I saw Yugi being taken away, I was too worried about him, and my Body just moved on its own."
Hayato patted his shoulder: "Forget it, I'll let you off this time. How are Yugi and Rebecca doing?"
"Uh, just like you see." Joey Wheeler's Finger pointed towards the two people on the Field, "We explained to Rebecca that Ji-san's Blue-Eyes White Dragon is an important Card entrusted to him by his Friend, but that arrogant brat wouldn't listen to me at all."
"Joey Wheeler bragged that he was the Runner-up of the Duelist Kingdom, and was even mocked, being told, 'If you're not the Champion, you're last place'." Tristan patted his forehead, "There's only a five or six year age difference, right? Why does it feel like the next generation has such a big generation gap with us?"
Besides them, Grandpa Solomon Muto, who had gone fishing because someone was watching the shop, was also called over here by a phone call, with an empty bucket placed beside him. Because he had a perfectly valid reason, Grandpa Solomon refused to admit he came back empty-handed, but looking at Rebecca, his Face showed deep thought:
"How Strange. I shouldn't have met this little girl before, so why do I feel like she looks so familiar?"
