"Is there a problem if we can't find out what bloodline spirit it actually is?" Alvin asked in confusion.
Magnus nodded, "Mutated bloodline spirits are often more powerful than the traditional ones, but there is also a disadvantage. It is hard to find a way to advance the bloodline spirit to the next rank since traditional techniques are not effective on them. Often people will get stuck at the initial stages without any clear direction forward."
"But you don't have to worry about that. I will find a way out for you, but it may take some time."
Alvin nodded in understanding and asked, "Now what's the situation with this forearm guard you gave me? Ever since I put it on, the connection that I had with the Asura tattoo on my arm seems to have weakened a lot."

Magnus chuckled, "That's our special trait and the reason why our bloodline spirit is called the Cursed Nyx Bloodline. "While the Incomplete Divine Nyx Bloodline Spirit can sometimes appear in even people with very low Nyxborn blood in them, the Cursed Nyx Bloodline will only appear on direct royal members with the blessing of the Asura God himself. Alvin frowned when he heard this, " if others can still find out I have Nyxborn blood in me, what is the point in wearing this guard in the first place?"
Magnus shook his head, "That's not a problem to be concerned of. Blood clone's who are made to wear blood clone armor from a very young age would often awaken such incomplete bloodline spirits, so nobody will link you as a real heir of Nyxborns based on this fact alone."
Alvin thought of it and nodded.
He then pointed at the wolf-like creatures magnus summoned standing around the place like royal soldiers and asked, "Grandfather, what about these spellbeasts of yours? They appear somewhat unique and more powerful compared to the spellbeasts I've seen so far."
Magnus looked at the wolf-like creatures and said. " They are undead summons. In fact, this is the main reason why we Nyxborns are feared all across Celestia. Even if any of them dies, I can bring them back to life just by using a beast core of the same level. Simply put, until I have magic cores to spend, they can keep on fighting in the battlefield without exhaustion or fear of death."
"Is it some technique unique to the Nyxborns?" Alvin asked curiously since it was the first time he had ever heard of a spellbeast that cannot be killed.
Magnus paused for a moment and said, "Actually, it is a forbidden necromancy technique. Normal people rarely practiced it since the person who creates these summons will also become a senseless undead as the darkness mana corrodes their soul."
"But we Nyxborns already have darkness mana in our blood, so we can handle this corrosion to some extent. That too, if the practitioner has the Cursed Nyx Bloodline like us, our resistance to corrosion by darkness mana will reach a terrifying level, meaning we can have many summons without any side effect."

Alvin nodded and poured some of his mana into the storage ring. The two books were sucked inside the storage ring under his command. He had used storage rings before in his memories of the previous Alvin, so he already knew how to use one.
"Oh, here is a gradeless armor for you. It was custom made for me. Now I am giving it to you. Take good care of it, you won't find a similar piece in the entire Celestia," Magnus said reluctantly as he took out an exquisite box from his storage ring.
Alvin hurriedly snatched the box from the old man's hand when he saw the old man was reluctant to part with it. Of course, he didn't need any more proof that whatever was inside it was really valuable enough to make even Magnus hesitate.
Magnus's mouth twitched when he saw Alvin hurriedly putting the box into his storage ring. He actually thought Alvin would reject the armor seeing how hesitant he was. But contrary to the virtuous and silly character he thought Alvin had, it turns out he was even more shameless and cunning than an old man like him.
