Chapter 100 - HHES: Chapter 100

Cough cough! Crimson blood welled from the corner of Chrollo's mouth. His face was pale, marred by numerous wounds.

However, Hisoka was also significantly injured, perhaps even more severely.

The fight had reached a stalemate.

Chrollo, initially dominant due to his numerous abilities, was now evenly matched with Hisoka.

His ability to control the fight stemmed from his vast repertoire of powers; even a seemingly weak ability would deter Hisoka from a rash attack.

In this prolonged struggle, Chrollo had the upper hand.

Chrollo had used nearly ten different abilities, all of which Hisoka had now deciphered.

Hisoka was beginning to gain the advantage; the tide had turned. Chrollo needed The Skill Hunter to use his abilities; closing the book ended them.

Hisoka, while possessing only Bungee Gum, had many applications.

"Hisoka!" Chrollo said. "When did you start working with the Flame Kid?"

Hisoka answered with a card attack.

Dodging the cards, Chrollo frowned.

"You've been cooperating with him since Yorknew City?"

Boom! Hisoka appeared beside Chrollo, kicking at him.

The wind grazed Chrollo's face as he dodged.

"Besides the duel, is there another reason for your cooperation?" Chrollo asked.

Thump! Hisoka punched the ground; Chrollo leaped, landing smoothly.

He gasped for breath. "Nothing to say?"

Hisoka rose slowly.

"Leader, you talk too much. The usual Chrollo wouldn't ask so many questions."

Chrollo chuckled. "Yes, I wouldn't."

His hand was in his pocket, holding the prophecy he hadn't yet read.

He wanted to know what it said. Perhaps it held answers.

From the moment Hisoka contacted him, Chrollo had a bad feeling.

He felt uneasy since arriving in Yorknew City.

When the flames erupted from the auction building, he felt calm; everything seemed to disappear. He no longer needed to worry.

But Chrollo was curious about the Flame Kid's motives. Was he Netero's disciple? Did this represent something more?

He continued fighting Hisoka, but he seemed to see the end. Hisoka wasn't easy to defeat; even Chrollo couldn't predict the outcome.

'The Flame Kid will be here soon,' Chrollo thought.

The question was, die now or later? Dying now would prevent Loki from getting information, but he wanted to meet Loki—the man who'd defeated the Troupe.

"Leader, I have something to tell you," Hisoka said, smiling. "You've disappointed me today."

"Sorry. I haven't figured things out; I can't focus on fighting you," Chrollo said.

Hisoka was annoyed. "Can't you focus? Leader!"

"I can't!"

"Too bad." Hisoka shrugged. "Let me end this."

Chrollo was surprised. "So sure you can kill me?"

Hisoka pointed to the ground beside Chrollo.

The moment Chrollo looked down, a rock shot up, hitting his face.

'When did he use Bungee Gum?'

"Leader, you're too distracted. Look around!"

Chrollo shattered the rock, looking around.

'Damn!'

Countless Nen threads surrounded him, and he was covered in Hisoka's Nen.

He looked up; rip! His eyes widened.

Loki, surrounded by flames, looked down at the collapsed building.

"Not powerful enough!" he said. "It wasn't completely incinerated."

The building was reduced to rubble.

The flames had consumed 90% of it, but some debris remained, still burning. Black smoke rose into the sky. The roars finally ceased, but the echoes lingered.

The flames, fueled by the wind, intensified.

Loki turned, no longer looking at the building, but towards another location.

"Kurapika and Hisoka's fight isn't over yet!"

'Moon Walk!' Boom boom! Loki leaped towards the distance. His disappearing figure didn't attract attention; everyone was focused on the destroyed building.

"The flames destroyed a building!"

"A 200-meter building is gone!"

People were shocked. If they hadn't seen the flames, they might have thought it was a war or terrorist attack.

But now, besides shock, they had many questions.

How did the flames appear?

Those who knew the answer were on the spaceship.

They watched the ruins.

Moments ago, the building stood tall; now, it was a giant inferno, like a black hole consuming the building.

A man in a black suit and sunglasses, with red hair, was the man sent by the Ten Dons to follow Loki.

He watched the destroyed building, sweating profusely.
