Chapter 101 - HHES: Chapter 101

'He actually destroyed the entire building!'

A stunned silence fell over the spaceship. Everyone was deeply shocked.

After a long moment, stammering voices emerged from the crowd.

"A professional Hunter... is this the power Hunters possess?!"

"Did he really destroy a building in one attack? Is that even humanly possible?!"

"That kid's a monster! How can a human possess such power?!"

The speechless Mafia members recalled the kid in the white cloak and loose black pants. They couldn't believe such terrifying power was hidden in such a slender frame.

They had tried to provoke this monster at the auction; now, they felt a wave of fear. If he'd attacked then, he could've killed them with a finger.

Some nervous individuals mumbled, "Mr. Loki... he won't remember our rudeness, will he?"

This made others who'd also provoked Loki turn pale.

"He... he wouldn't care about us, right?"

"Um... anyway, Mr. Loki defeated the Phantom Troupe, right?!" a Mafia member blurted out. "Let's thank him! He saved us from the Phantom Troupe!"

After witnessing the destruction, they forgot about the destroyed auction items and Loki using them as bait. Was it fear, or a desire to ingratiate themselves?

Others chimed in. "Yes! We should thank Mr. Loki!"

"My organization will pay 100 million Jenny to reward Mr. Loki."

"300 million!"

They seemed ready to give Loki all the money they'd prepared for the auction.

Kurapika and the others on the spaceship smiled wryly at the spectacle. Loki wouldn't bother with these fools; he probably wouldn't even remember them. But if they didn't do this, they'd be uneasy.

Gon's eyes lit up. 'Hunter, Nen... is this the world Father chased?' Killua's eyes dimmed. 'Impossible to catch up to that terrifying power.

Even Dad might not be able to do that,' he thought. Everyone was contemplating different things. Kurapika and Leorio's faces were pale.

Boom! A stone slab was pushed open amidst the building's remains. A stooped figure slowly rose. The surrounding heat made a sizzling sound.

Boom boom! Two more slabs were pushed open. A hand, mostly burned, with exposed bones, rested on a stone.

"Hisoka, leave him to me," Loki said unexpectedly.

Hisoka's face turned cold. "What if I refuse?"

Loki turned. "I didn't ask your opinion."

Hisoka's face darkened, his eyes filled with killing intent. He smirked. "So domineering now."

"Your fight is over. You must kill him."

Hisoka was annoyed. He'd waited years to fight Chrollo, but Chrollo had been distracted; he hadn't enjoyed the fight. It was a wasted opportunity.

'Attacking Loki now? 80% chance I'll die,' Hisoka thought, recalling the falling flames. The terrifying scene replayed in his mind.

After staring at Loki for a few seconds, Hisoka threw his cards into the air. "Terrifying gaze. I surrender!"

"Leave him to me," Hisoka said, turning to leave. "I doubt you'll get anything from him."

He left. Loki turned to Chrollo.

"Hisoka's right. You won't get any information from me," Chrollo said.

Loki smiled faintly. "Is that so?" He took out his phone to call Baise.

"Give up. Even with your torture specialist, it's useless," Chrollo said calmly.

"If you have torturers, you have those who protect information."

Loki stopped. He knew there were those who protected information, like Kurapika's oath.

Loki turned to Chrollo. "I was careless."

Chrollo smiled faintly. "It's normal."

"What will you do with me? Kill me?"

Loki said, "Why don't you kill yourself?"

Chrollo said, "Can I? Even you can't."

Loki smiled. "You know that."

"So, what will you do with me?"

Loki looked at Chrollo strangely. Why did someone unafraid of death keep asking this?

Chrollo's limbs were broken; his bones were shattered, with no chance of healing.

Yet, his face remained calm. He didn't care about pain or death. Would he care how Loki dealt with him?

Loki, if captured with no chance of escape, would choose quick death. If he couldn't die, he wouldn't care what happened to him.

But Chrollo seemed to want to know what would happen to him. It was strange. Was Chrollo afraid of torture?

No. Loki looked at Chrollo; their eyes met. There was expectation in Chrollo's calm gaze. He was expecting something.

Loki needed to investigate the Troupe through Chrollo, but things had gone wrong.

His plan to use Baise to get information had failed.

If Chrollo had an ability to prevent him from revealing information, using Baise would be useless.
