"Hello? Is this Loki?" Baise's voice said.
Loki opened his mouth to answer, but Chrollo spoke first.
"Oh, right. How are my companions? They're not all dead, are they? You called earlier; I thought you'd killed them all. I didn't expect you to let them go."
Loki looked at Chrollo and said into the phone, "I'm fine."
He hung up and turned to Chrollo. "Your phone?"
"Hisoka took it," Chrollo said, smiling. "I can't move; Hisoka took my phone. What a mess! I can't even make a call."
Loki looked sharply at Chrollo.
'Can't...' That word made Loki think of something. Something Chrollo couldn't do.
His earlier expectation... He wanted Loki's help. What couldn't Chrollo do?
Loki thought of a possibility. He was under a Nen restriction. It prevented information leakage and restricted his actions.
This ability might be stronger than Kurapika's oath.
On the hotel rooftop, Loki sat beside Chrollo.
"So you want me to help you?" Loki said.
Silence answered him, but Loki continued.
"There's someone else's Nen on you, right?"
Silence.
"You need a Nen removal specialist."
Chrollo's silence told Loki that Chrollo couldn't reveal certain information, thoughts, or actions.

Hisoka helped Chrollo contact the Troupe to find a Nen removal specialist.
Why hadn't Chrollo contacted the Troupe himself?
Did he not have their contact information? Why not tell them directly? Was it too much trouble? Why did he contact Hisoka?
Loki realized Chrollo might not have contacted anyone because he couldn't act with the goal of finding a Nen removal specialist.
Hisoka helped because he wanted to duel Chrollo and knew about a Nen removal specialist.
He offered to help Chrollo, who agreed to a duel. Hisoka wouldn't duel a Nen-less Chrollo, so he went to Greed Island to contact the Troupe.
Chrollo knew Loki wanted the secret, so he wasn't worried. Loki had predicted Hisoka would win.
A serious fight would take over an hour. Loki had let them fight without worrying Hisoka would kill Chrollo and ruin his mission.
When Loki found them, he'd wondered why Chrollo was so badly beaten, his limbs broken.
The Troupe seemed on the verge of collapse, but was that really the case? The Troupe's defeat might be Chrollo's victory.
Loki might have won against the Troupe but lost to Chrollo. The answer would come after finding a Nen removal specialist.
Loki's face darkened. The mission would take time. Finding a Nen removal specialist was easy—Greed Island.
In the original story, someone named Abengana removed Kurapika's Nen from Chrollo.
Loki looked at Chrollo, burning his wounds to stop the bleeding.
"Not going to kill me?" Chrollo asked.
Loki ignored him. Chrollo closed his eyes, smiling. "I'm important to you."
'Even if I have to find a Nen removal specialist to get information, I'll continue,' Chrollo thought. 'I'm almost out of the cage.'
Loki contacted Baise, telling them to take Chrollo away and guard him closely. Chrollo couldn't move; he was easily contained.
Baise and the others arrived. Seeing Chrollo, Melody and Basho gulped.
"Is he a Troupe member?" Basho asked.
Melody listened to Chrollo's heartbeat. He was immobile and captured, but she heard a happy, relaxed rhythm. He seemed happy to be captured.
Chrollo looked at Basho.
"Yes, I'm the Phantom Troupe's leader, Chrollo Lucifer.
I apologize for the trouble. Please take care of me."
Basho, Melody, and Baise were stunned. Was that really from a Phantom Troupe member? Especially the leader? It was strange.
Loki said, "Thought you were going to die?"
Chrollo said, "No, I never thought I wouldn't die. I don't care about the outcome."
Chrollo was carried away. Loki frowned. 'Even if he dies, it's fine. I need to remove the Nen restriction.
The Phantom Troupe's secrets are getting interesting. No wonder the mission reward was so special. It wasn't easy.'
