Chapter 49: "Kisses, Codes, and the Fall of Fools"
—When a Powerless Boy Moves the World, and a Sealed Goddess Falls in Love—
---
[Scene 1: A Drop of Water, A Galaxy Remembered]
Early morning sunlight bled through the cracks in the old wooden hut. The kidnapped girls slept in curled positions, exhausted from hunger and fear.
Raviel's head rested gently on Boby's shoulder. Her breath was shallow, her lips dry. She trembled slightly. She hadn't eaten or drunk anything in over 24 hours.
Real Boby quietly shifted, struggling against his bonds until he nudged the small plastic cup the guards had dropped earlier.
He twisted, using his knees to guide the cup toward them, spilling half the contents—but managing to bring it near Raviel's mouth.
> Boby (whispering): "Drink. Slowly."
Her lips met the cup's edge. Cold water. Simple. Precious. She took slow, cautious sips.
> Raviel (whispering): "Even without power… you still save me."
> Boby (grinning): "Not bad for a middle-class author, huh?"
She leaned forward and kissed his cheek, then his lips. Gently. Lovingly.
> Boby (eyes wide): "You're kissing me? Aren't you cheating on fictional Boby?"
She kissed him again. Longer. Deeper. Fingers trembling, holding his jaw.
> Raviel (smiling): "Fool. Fictional Boby… is you. You wrote him from your soul. That power… that love… that pain… was yours. My husband… is you."
Boby swallowed.
Then he kissed her back.
No power. No universe-breaking energy. Just two people.
One an author.
One, the goddess he'd created who chose to become human… for him.
They kissed again. And again.
Tangled in rope. Trapped. Mortal.
But free in their hearts.

[Scene 2: The Bargain]
Later that morning, Boby stood before the Boss of the kidnappers. He was brought in, hands still tied, but his back was straight, his face calm.
The Boss leaned back in a chair, shirt half-open, cigarette dangling.
> Boss: "You wanted to talk. Talk."
> Boby: "I want to make you rich."
The Boss laughed.
> Boss: "Rich? Kid, you're the hostage. What, you think this is some Bollywood twist?"
> Boby: "You kidnapped me. And yet I didn't cry. Didn't beg. I've been watching. Listening. Calculating."
The Boss narrowed his eyes.
> Boby: "Give me a laptop. Call your tech guy. I'll give you access to a wallet. Ten million in Bitcoin."
The room fell silent.
> Boss: "…Ten… million?"
> Boby (coolly): "But I have a condition."
> Boss: "Speak."
> Boby: "First—give us food. Proper food. Then, release me and all the girls."
> Boss (suspicious): "You think I'm going to believe a pretty boy like you?"
> Boby: "You think I'm just a pretty boy?"
He looked the Boss in the eyes.
> Boby: "I'm an author. A world-builder. A hacker. A strategist. You know how dangerous it is to kidnap someone who builds worlds with their mind?"
The Boss frowned.
> Boss (reluctant curiosity): "…How far have you studied?"
> Boby: "College dropout. Self-taught. But I've read more books than your entire gang has brain cells. Now, do you want Bitcoin or not?"
---
[Scene 3: The Trap Begins – Boby's Crypto Plan]
The tech guy—skinny, glasses, nervous—brought a dusty laptop. They unlocked Boby's hands but kept three guards around him.
He sat, cracked his knuckles.
> Boby (thinking): "Fools. They think I'm checking a wallet… but this laptop's connected to the grid."
He began to type—fingers dancing, code flowing.
> Boby (typing): "Trace route. Firewall override. GPS ping. Send live location to police HQ… and military alert database…"
He grinned.
> Boby (thinking): "They think I'm a hostage. But I'm about to be the reason they're arrested, humiliated, and remembered forever as the dumbest criminals in Goa."
---
[Scene 4: Raviel's Mortality]
In the other room, Raviel struggled with a plate of food they'd finally been given. Bread. Dry. She tried to tear it.
Her fingers shook. Her human stomach twisted in hunger and pain.
> Raviel (thinking): "I once shaped stars with a thought. Now I can't break bread."
She fumbled. Dropped the piece. Flinched as her rope-burned hands ached.
But when she looked up—
A girl was staring. The blonde foreigner.
> Blonde Girl (softly, eyes wide): "Thank you…"
Raviel blinked.
> Raviel (smiling weakly): "Don't thank me yet."
---
[Scene 5: Unseen Forces Move]
The Boss stared at Boby from behind, still unsure.
> Boss (thinking): "This boy… there's something off about him. Calm. Too calm. As if he's not scared at all."
And outside—across the state—
Military eyes blinked on screens.
Police cars rerouted.
Drones activated.
> Operator (at HQ): "Sir… we just got a location ping from a laptop in Goa. Trace complete. Sending units."
---
[Closing Scene: Fire in the Sky Approaches]
As Boby typed the final command, a small smile crept across his lips.
> Boby (whispering): "Come, fate. Let's dance."
Outside, in the distance—
Helicopter rotors beat against the morning sky.
And inside, Raviel whispered to herself:
> Raviel: "He doesn't have power…
But even without it… he's still my hero."
