AT THE SAME TIME
SELENE'S POINT OF VIEW:
The doors to the council chamber slammed behind me with enough force to startle both alphas out of their chairs. Jaxon stood first, wide eyed and anxious.
"Well." He asked.
Michael remained seated, brows drawn tight, as if bracing for a punishment he knew he deserved. I let them stew for a moment, sweeping the length of the chamber with slow, measured steps. I didn't sit.
"You wanted an update." I said finally. "So here it is."
They leaned forward like eager pups. It would've been endearing,if it hadn't been so pathetic. Michael's jaw tensed. Jaxon's nostrils flared.
"He is with the same alpha and he cares of him a lot."I said.
"You're talking about the rogue." Jaxon said carefully. "Adrian."
I turned to him with a smirk.
"Ah, so you have learned his name. Progress."I said.
Jaxon's eyes narrowed, but he said nothing.
