As Nick regained consciousness, he recognized his captor.
"Nick," Dylan introduced, "Meet the owner of 'Perfect Girls.' You know him; he once treated Sara. This is Adam."
Adam stepped into the light, his eyes filled with hatred.
"We pretended to be friends," Adam said coldly. "I ensured Sara's physical recovery when she appeared at the brothel."
"Adam? Why?" Nick questioned.
"'Perfect Girls' is a family business, and you ruined it. Sara rejected me, so I had my father deal with her, leading to her family's demise and her abduction."
"What are you saying?"
"Sara should never have said no to me. Her life would have been different. Now, I only wish to destroy her. Six years of happiness were a generous gift, don't you think?"
Adam's mocking laughter enraged Nick as Dylan drew a gun, aiming at his head.
"Why, Dylan?" Nick pleaded.
"Money, Nick. Adam pays handsomely."
"You will die here and now, Nick," Adam declared gleefully. "We'll deliver your corpse to Sara and vanish. I enjoyed ruining your friends' careers."
"You won't get away with this," Nick protested.
"Irina awaits us at the airport with Anthony," Adam continued. "She's my best friend, and Anthony is Sara's favorite child. I aim to drive her mad. Your other two children will be left destitute."
Nick was in disbelief; his worst enemies had been close all along. As a shooting star passed overhead, he wished for a second chance.
"Kill him, Dylan," Adam ordered.
"As you wish, Adam," Dylan replied.
Dylan shot Nick in the head, killing him instantly. They left the limousine, leaving Nick's body and a note for Sara.
They proceeded to the airport, where a plane awaited. Inside, Anthony was bound and gagged. Irina smiled with satisfaction. Once aboard, the plane disappeared into the sky.
When Sara discovered Nick's lifeless body and read the note detailing the organization's actions, including Anthony's abduction, she let out a heart-wrenching scream. Her mind shattered irreparably.
