Rohan encounters Sun and Prerna, eager to hear about their journey. Prerna expresses her frustration, saying, "Dad, you lied to us when you said our ship was looted and sunk by pirates." Rohan clarifies, "I didn't lie; while one of our ships was indeed attacked by pirates, that incident occurred six months ago." He watches Sun closely, hoping to gauge the governor's ability to manage the situation.
Prerna, seeking reassurance, replies, "Dad, I trust the governor, but he doesn't know the full story about Sun. Since Sun was with you, that makes him part of this too." Rohan acknowledges this point, nodding in agreement with her assessment.
Turning to Prerna, Sun states, "There's no issue. Rohan and the governor are justified in wanting to test my capabilities. They are both committed to the welfare of the Rawat Empire, and it's natural for them to want to evaluate if I can meet the challenges ahead."
Rohan, while feeling happy, tells Sun and Prerna that he has some news, specifically that he has good news for both of them. Being curious, they ask Rohan what it is. He informs them that he has secured both their admissions to Nalanda Academy, a well-known and prestigious institution. Upon hearing this, Prerna feels happy, but Sun's expression changes. Although Sun was quite good at studying in the previous world, his interactions with other children in college were not positive.
Rohan advises Sun and Prerna to temper their enthusiasm, as both will need to prepare for the entrance exam required by the academy. This exam comprises two components: a practical assessment and a theoretical evaluation. Nalanda Academy emphasizes the importance of mastering both aspects, and only those who excel in each are granted admission. While exceptionally talented students may receive some concessions, generally speaking, admission requires a high level of proficiency in both practical and theoretical knowledge.
Prerna, radiating confidence, reassures Rohan that both she and Sun will easily ace the entrance exam. Her unwavering belief fills Rohan with pride, but he takes a moment to remind both of them that hard work is essential. With that, he leaves them to focus on their studies.
Later, Sun approaches Rohan, expressing his reluctance to attend the academy. He insists that he would rather stay and help manage the family business alongside Rohan. Understanding Sun's sentiments, Rohan gently explains the significance of the academy experience. "It's not just about gaining knowledge," he says. "It's also about forming lifelong friendships that will support you in the future."
Although Sun begins to grasp the importance of Rohan's words, he stands firm in his decision to stay. Rohan, with a touch of firmness yet compassion, reminds him that the final choice lies with his grandmother, who believes it's crucial for him to attend the academy. Reluctantly, Sun realizes that he must step up and honor his grandmother's wishes, understanding that this path may open doors he never considered.
With no other options left, Sun realized he had to attend the academy. Prerna approached him, her eyes bright with determination. "The entrance exam for Nalanda Academy is just three months away," she informed him. "We need to make the most of this time to prepare. I've decided we will double your sword training sessions from now on."
Prerna continued, "I've also spoken to Dad, so you won't have to work at the factory anymore. This is your chance, and I believe in you." She paused, her tone becoming more serious. "I have faith that you can handle the theoretical part of the exam, but I know the practical challenges will be tough. You'll be up against some of the greatest warriors, each a master in their discipline."
Sun listened intently, absorbing her words. He recognized the importance of what lay ahead. With a nod of agreement, he responded, "You're right. I'll give it everything I have."
