Rowan's Concluding Remark
***Arin's POV***
Just as the shadow twins were ready to murder Jaxon and Kael, an impossible event occurred.
From inside my head, a warm hand touched my shoulder.
"Arin," said Rowan in a low voice. "I remain here."
"Rowan?" I let out a mental gasp. "But you're dead!"
"My body is," he said softly. "However, our mate bond is more resilient than death. I have to leave in a few minutes."
The twins of the shadow froze. They were unable to comprehend what was taking place.
"How do you still communicate with me?" I inquired, tears running down my cheeks.
Rowan asserted, "Love doesn't die when the body does. And before I go forever, I must show you something important."
All of a sudden, my surroundings changed. I had left the crumbling room. I was standing in a lovely, silver-lit area.
Standing before me, Rowan had the same appearance as when he was alive, save for the star-like glow in his eyes.
