After that day, Lisa and Simon find themselves texting each other often. Even though they are in a meeting with the other heads of department, both of them will text each other and smile in the dark.
Simon usually will work slight off the office time but after that day he got sick, he have been knock off on time and chase Peter to get off from work too.
"Hurry up!"
"Mr CEO, the machine is not printing as fast as i want it to be!"
"Then leave it for tomorrow to print it!"
"Sir if you need to go somewhere in a hurry, i can shut down the electricity on this floor."
"PETER!"
"PRINTING MACHINE... too slow. Almost done! Almost...."
Peter turn around to see a black face boss flexing his arm with the dumb bells behind him.
"Tomorrow onwards, make sure you finish whatever you need to do in twenty minutes before you get off from work. Understand?"
"YES SIR!"
Simon hears his mobile phone have a buzz and hurry off. While Peter is wondering what happen to him after his got sick. He peek at his boss to see him smiling and texting a reply after that he pick up his dumbbell on the desk. Peter finds that very strange as Simon dislike anything that is not suppose to be on his desk. He got angry once with the cleaner for putting the dumbbell on the coffee table or he found his pencil holder is miss place on the shelves that are behind him or his office documents are not place on the IN tray.
While Lisa, who is busy looking at the new proposal packaging looks at her watch. She peek at her staff who is still working diligently. She begin to lower the music volume down bit by bit, her staff will notice the time and start to pack up for the day. She wave to them as they greet their good byes. She give them smiles and wave to them as usual. Finally the last one leaves the office. She hurry to text Simon that she will be waiting at the opposite bus stop that he usually drop her at. He return with a icon of a bear hugging a heart. She giggle and she heart his icon.
Soon they spend their time together more and more frequently. She even start to read books on cooking and baking on her free time. While he learn not to be so nicky picky at little things however his consistency at things to be in order is a must for him.
One of those day, Lisa is busy with her paperwork and the text messages that comes in. Her staff that is sitting opposite her stare at her boss and watch her giggle sometimes at her mobile phone. She take the paper in hand and walk over.
"Lisa, i don't understand this point here."
"Wait."
Lisa smile and laugh. She put down her mobile phone and her staff see in coming message from 'Honey' on it. Then she knows that her boss is in a relationship.
"Lisa, how are you these days? We did not have a company dinner together for awhile. Why don't we arrange for one?!"
"Wow that sounds great! Lisa come one! Let's go eat together!"
"I am free the next week!"
"Ahh sure, i will arrange one dinner outing for us."
"Lisa! You can bring your boyfriend!"
"I don't have one..."
"I am sure you have one! Look at you! Your face is radian with happiness and you look puffy. Have you been eating late night snacks?"
Lisa quickly take out her compact mirror and take a look. She does have a puffy cheeks now. She put down her mirror and slump down on her table.
That night at home, in his apartment, she refuse to eat her favourite chocolate bar. Simon even buy milk tea for her is place on the table without touching it. Simon ask her why. She turn around to look at him at the sofa.
"Look at me, what is change or different?"
He stare and look hard. He notice that her chin is rounder instead of shaper. He act as if he doesn't know. She whine out loud that she is putting on weight.
"Does it matter? You look cuter this way."
"Cute? I don't want to be cute!"
"Cute is good. Anyway being cute is fine. You look fine to me. Honest."
"Anyway i need to cut down on whatever i am eating now."
"There isn't a need to. Just eat what you are eating now."
He pop a chocolate into her mouth. Once it is in her mouth, the chocolate over take her mind of not eating it. She tested it and wait for it to breakdown in her mouth. She stare at him with her eyebrows knitted. He laugh and pop another bar in his mouth.
"Look, let's eat whatever we need to eat. Then just exercise more. This weekend the morning jog, i will jog with you extra thirty minutes. How about that?"
"Really? Do you think it will work?"
"Why not? Besides that i can spend more time with you."
Lisa again stare blankly at him and Simon feel like he score another point. Happily he break another small bar and put in her mouth. Getting chubby is a good thing for him, so that no other men would want to look at his wife.
