Lisa decided to organise for staff lunch instead of dinner since most of them have something on at night. Lunch seems to be better. She arrange in a small restaurant that they always visit.
"Everyone just order what you all want to eat as well. The main dish even thou is BBQ meat, you can order any other dishes. Just make sure that you finish it and don't waste it."
Her staff happily order the food as the main dish of meat cuts present to them. The charcoal grill which was heat up is now in full use. Everyone is happy grilling. The restaurant is pack with customers. They each order either pineapple fried rice or milk fish noddle to go along with the grill meat. Also there is some vegetables that they can grill along or eat it raw. Just when they are about to start, her staff with their mouth open wide and just about to take their first much when their CEO and his secretary comes strolling in. They see their CEO standing at the cashier looking for a space to sit in. One of them wave to ask them to join for lunch. Simon look rather happy and he join them. Peter is wondering why Simon wants to come all the way here when the meeting ended was so far away. They drive about an hour to get to this restaurant. However like as usual Peter is not going to say anything but go with the flow. He suspect it's because Lisa is here.
Lunch is rather good having a meal with his staff and Lisa. Everyone is having a good time talking about their private life. Simon encourage them to order more food if they need to, he will foot the bill. Some of them got excited and order another grill meat set. To Simon is a chance to get to know his staff and get them on his side after all the first time he made them dislike him because of the music issue. Another is a chance to have lunch with his wife is a rare opportunity. He sits beside Lisa and causally asking about what she likes. Lisa who is aware of her staff, she try not to talk too much. Also she begin to stuff his plate plenty of food hoping he will shut up. The lunch soon overrun and the staff hurry to finish whatever is left on their plate. They exit one by one from the restaurant after thanking the CEO. While Peter heads to the cashier with he company card to pay. The table only left with Simon and Lisa.
"Let's walk back the office."
"What? It's at least a thirty minutes walk."
"Why? Someone you got to meet after lunch?"
"No just that... can you walk in your suit?"
"Why not? I treat it like an exercised for my legs. Like walking on a treadmill with scenery to look at."
Lisa look at him and smile. She nod her head. He look at Peter who is staring at him from the cashier. He signal Peter to leave. Peter's eyes got bigger and point to himself and outside. Simon take out his mobile phone. 'i am going to a walk back. Eat too much. Need to exercise it off. You drive the car back to office and do as usual.' Peter read it and roll his eyes. It is obvious that Simon wants to spend time with Lisa. He tell himself that if Simon's wife happen to know and question him, he must say he doesn't know anything. Peter hurry to reply ' Yes boss.' He quickly get out of the restaurant and keep bubbling to himself that he knows nothing and see nothing and will hear nothing.
While Simon and Lisa take a stroll back to the office. They talk about younger days and things they have done. They laugh and stop by a stall to purchase her favourite bubble milk tea. Simon stand there and watch how the lady mix the drink. He is thinking if he should learn the skill. With him standing there, it attracted a lot of girls to go and buy drinks from that stall. Secretly they take pictures of him as they never seen a long leg man standing at the stall with a business suit. Some post online asking if anyone knows who is he.
Back in the office Lisa work as usual but her staff is curio why the CEO appear out of no where. In their own department meeting, they are summarise the last feedback report and the current trend report. Before they walk out of the room, one of them ask Lisa if she knows why the CEO appear during lunch. Lisa who honesty don't know how he knows that she is having lunch with her staff for she never mention this to him.
"I really don't know. Did any of you talk to other department about this?"
They look at each other and single out a boy.
"Ding Man, did you go round talking?"
"Me?"
"Yeah you are the social butterfly in this department. Everyone knows you. From ground one to the top!"
"I just casual mentioned that we are having dinner together... I did not know it switch to lunch so how can it be me!"
"Well someone must have say something..."
"Never mind. Our CEO already paid for our lunch. Let's just go back to work."
"Yes lady boss."
Lisa look at her mobile phone. It's quiet now. Maybe he is busy.
Simon is sweating in his office. Peter is reading the comments from the online community.
"Who is the long legged man, anyone knows his name?"
'He is so hot! I hope that he is rich!"
"Even if he is rich, not your's!"
"I think i have seen him somewhere before..."
"The suit he is wearing looks expensive."
"His feet so long too. His shoes... wow... girls, you know what i mean."
"His skin looks so white and smooth."
"STOP Peter... those must be young girls who are commenting online."
Peter look away from his mobile phone. He nod his head slowly. Simon try to adjust to his seating so that he can feel comfortable. He dismiss Peter and tap his fingers on the table. Right now he dislike attentions like this. He look at his shoes, did Lisa notice his feet as well?
