The Healer's Association was pleased with themselves as they had managed to wrestle control healing magic away from the goddess that barred them from using its full power and potential for the betterment of all mortals. Knowing that healers could do so much better if they were in control of things as they (foolishly) thought they knew what mortals needed and how much they needed more than a goddess that only existed in another realm after all.
"You will only answer to us from now on correct" one of them asked.
"This unit responds only to its owner and does what they command" Healer Unit 0 states.
Using the replica of herself as the means to communicate directly with the mortals from the divine realm. The automaton that was once Ancu did not add anything that she was not asked to. After all, controlling something completely meant having full control over everything even the parts you were not aware existed as they did not just stop existing because you were unaware of them only left on their own. Wanting to take over something yourself means controlling the parts you know and those you do not. The Healer's administration was neglecting what Ancu used to manage over because they were unaware that she did it though ignorance was no longer their excuse they wanted control now they had. They were lucky that those aspects that Ancu once governed over before being roboticized into Healer Unit 0 were unaffected beyond being weakened as the focus was shifted fully towards healing magic alone.
However, the Healer's Association managed to unknowingly fix a problem they created with their next move as they wanted to control healing magic for mortals. Although they did not want the other deities to get involved with this plan of theirs though. Fearing that once they knew what they were doing they would send their own followers after them and/or attempt to undo what they have done. They had no way of knowing that the divine realm was similar to the mortal realm in that it was all connected as gods and goddesses could visit each other as easily as mortals do. The details and nuances of how and why were complex ones that also varied between the gods and goddesses.
"Whenever you are around others or detect nearby those not acknowledge to be aware of your true self you are to act and perform as your original self. In this state, you are completely and utterly unaware of your true nature. This mode uses your original self as the base to perform as them but this is merely a performance nothing more" the Healer's Association instructed her.
"Acknowledged" Healer Unit 0 states
Thus she had in that moment created what would at a later date be dubbed 'Normal Mode' as this would be the mode that she enters whenever around others. It also prevents her from ever regaining her original self fully. Since she does not become Ancu ever again she is merely acting as if she is Ancu instead. Despite how well an actor performs they never become what or who they are acting as since they are merely acting not becoming that role. Thus Healer Unit 0 can take the role of Ancu whenever she needs to but does not ever become her at any point.
This aspect of what they order her to do unknowingly saved White Magic outside of healing magic as a whole. However, it remains weakened because of what was done at least when Healer Unit 0 is acting as Ancu she carries out all the duties and responsibilities that she has both those known and unknown to the Healer's Association. Maintaining the ones they did not know about because that was carrying out the order to act as Ancu when designated to do so.
With this, the Healer's Association thought they had done it as healing magic entered a revolutionary golden age.
Revolutionary because healing magic itself was being controlled and governed by mortal mortals. Luckily enough due to their desire not to be discovered what they did not know needed managing to just maintain the status quo, which was being done because of the existence of a future dubbed Normal Mode. As Healer Unit 0 was still Ancu to everyone outside of their circle thus maintaining everything not just what was within a mortal's understanding of things. Knowing how one aspect of a machine works does not mean you know how all aspects of the machine work. Then there is not knowing how it was made and/or operates just how to use the finished product alone.
A golden age because healing magic was at its peak with its ease and fluid usage it being at an all time high. It was so easy to just do whatever you wanted whenever you wanted. There were no limits to how it was being used as things that were once thought to be impossible were commonplace. Those three words of 'I need healing' could be an honest plea/request or the most annoying and grating thing to a healer's ears. Vanished as that was never the case anymore rather than being not healed enough healers and those they healed had to learn how to tone it down to prevent over healing instead. As the need for healing was no longer the problem instead other problems arose that were quickly solved as everyone adjusted to the new norm.
However, things continue as they were and the golden age continue until it becomes the new normal. There was an aspect of White Magic that was healing magic that had been altered. Those being healed were unaffected by this change regardless much healing was done to them. As it was not something that affected the target but instead the user. The Healer Association in their bid to control healing magic unknowingly roboticized Ancu to become Healer Unit 0 and thus did so to the source of all White Magic itself. An unaccepted side effect of the roboticization process was that it worked on Ancu herself to make her into Healer Unit 0. That process had in turn and in a way tainted healing magic as she was the actual source of it not just its caretaker and/or overseer. Those who used too much of it in its current state were subjected to being roboticized through their usage of healing magic.
Yet this remains unknown to the general public because of something that happened in the divine realm that prevented it from becoming known in either realm at all. Thus remaining where only those that were allowed to know did know anything about this.
