Nash's body was currently exerting 300% of its power; every second was essentially consuming his life.
The [Control Module System] could only exert 100% of his strength, without worry about tiredness and pain.
However, thinking it was insufficient, Nash created a new runic module system, the [Overloading Module System].
Perfectly controlling his heart, blood flow, body limiters, and, most importantly, the void energy within him, his strength could surge beyond limits.
The 3% Void energy saturation rate in his body worked miracles, stimulating his body to work beyond its normal capacity.
Meanwhile, annoyed by the attack, the void beast didn't bother to hide its presence and continued to swoop toward Nash.
With cold eyes, Nash somersaulted just before the void beast's claw could hit him, brandishing his knife to slash at its head.
Clang~
Like thick metal, Nash barely caused a dent in the void beast's head.
Seeing Nash holding off the void beast, Camilla no longer hesitated and charged toward the void tamer.
A minute was what she said; even if it cost her life, she would fulfill that promise.
Hector, Amber, and Emily also quickly acted, fulfilling their respective roles.
Hector picked up the backup motor vehicle from the trunk of the wrecked car while Amber and Emily quickly grabbed the unconscious Lloyd, preparing for their escape.
Meanwhile, after dodging a few more attacks from the void beast, Nash's body began to collapse.
The rapid and explosive movements caused his ligaments and muscles to burst, and even his bones started to crack.
"A little more..." Nash thought, looking coldly at the void beast.
Based on his analysis during these few seconds, he deduced that this void beast closely resembled a black jaguar.
The movement patterns, habits, and demeanor matched 70% with the one in his mind.
Confirming such vital information, Nash eased his movements, using minimal effort to dodge.
As the clock ticked to 30 seconds, Nash's body turned blood red.
[Overloading Entered The Warning Line!]
[Whether to turn off the Overloading Module?]
"Continue!" Looking at the warning line he set, prompting him to quit, Nash only sighed.
He promised to hold off the void beast for 60 seconds, there was still half the time.
With his body steaming like a cooked pork, Hector, Amber, and Emily finally completed their tasks and quickly helped Nash distract the void beast.
"40 seconds..." Nash thought as his body began to slow down.
Although he couldn't feel the pain because he was in the runic space, some runic programs had already started to malfunction and lag.
"A little more..."
Soon, 45 seconds passed, then 50, and at 55 seconds, Nash's body was becoming mangled, ready to give out at any moment.
Just when Nash thought it was the end of his life, Camilla's whip wrapped around his body, dragging him out of the void beast's range.
Roar~
With a tragic growl, the void beast seemed to have lost something as it went berserk, no longer caring about Nash and Camilla.
"Hector, let's go!"
Seeing everyone was safe, Hector ramped the motor vehicle, dashing out of the area.
"59 seconds, just in time..." Camilla said, noticing Nash was still conscious.
"I need a long vacation after this..." Nash muttered in his last breath.
---
A day later, Nash opened the [Sensing Module System] to assess the situation outside.
Tied like a mummy, fastened to a straight board, and laid in a three-wheeled vehicle, Nash opened his eyes.
"Nash! You're awake!" Emily, who was watching over him, yelled, catching the group's attention.
"Hector, stop for a while. Let me check Nash's condition!" Emily hurriedly said, noticing Nash could barely open his eyes.
"Alright," Hector agreed, stopping on a solid rock as they laid Nash on the ground.
"How is he? Can Nash make it?" Camilla asked, worry evident in her tone.
"Don't worry, Captain. Since Nash could wake up, he should be alright," Emily said while pinching various parts of Nash's body.
"Can you feel anything?" Emily asked with a frown when Nash showed no reaction.
Not wanting to worry them, Nash quickly blinked his eyes to confirm.
"Is that so?" They muttered with a sigh of relief.
Turning his eyes to Camilla, he blinked as if to ask about their current situation.
Understanding what he meant, Camilla quickly summarized their situation.
They were still in Eastdam State.
Although they escaped from Lloyd's pursuers, without the flying car, their journey was at a turtle's pace.
Fortunately, they had a complete set of equipment, so traveling and camping for a few days to weeks wasn't a problem.
Lloyd had also woken up from fatigue shortly after their escape.
Looking at Nash, Lloyd couldn't help but feel admiration after hearing his story.
"Did Nash really hold off that void beast for a minute?"
That void beast was the main reason he fell into such a vulnerable situation, even with his B1 combat suit.
A B-grade combat suit is already a formal combat suit used by Void Warriors with a 10-30% saturation rate.
A B1 grade combat suit could boost his power comparable to a 30% saturation Void Warrior.
If not for the void beast, he could have easily escaped and even wiped out the group.
"Hmph! Because of your carelessness, we nearly lost our lives! Our contract only states to take you to Atral State, not fight off three official Void Warriors, one of whom was even a Void Tamer!"
"Relax, relax, I know I made a mistake. I'm willing to triple my payment for my error!" Lloyd hurriedly said, not wanting to face Camilla's sadistic methods again.
Although he was an employer, he was weak and only had money.
Lloyd was sure this amazonian would kill him outright if he hadn't hidden his money in Atral City in advance.
"You better compensate us, or else..." Camilla warned, her voice dripping with killing intent.
"Captain, Nash's vitals seem fine. He only suffered third-degree injuries; a high-level healing potion should be enough to get him back on his feet!" Emily said after various tests.
"Hmm, good. Let's hurry to Atral City; I'm getting sick of this place," Camilla ordered, feeling her sticky body.
"As for you, you'd better rest. You still have work to do once we return," Camilla said ruthlessly, looking at Nash.
"Damn—"
