And to help herself, she threw Valerio's image out of her head, and instead, began seeing Zayne. There was no one else on this floor with her, except Zayne. He was the one holding her, it was his touch she was feeling, and those pairs of eyes on her were his.
He was smiling down at her like he always did. Staring at her yet again as if she were the only thing he could see. As if he'd never look at another woman.
"I love you," she sighed out. "I love you. And I don't understand why I never told you. I love you a lot and I'll…I'm going to say it until you understand—"

The voice that sounded nothing like Zayne broke her out of her spiraling thoughts and hallucinations. Valerio's face came into her vision and she quickly jolted out of his grip, staggering back and stumbling over her own foot to fall to the ground.
Her lashes flickered rapidly.
