When I opened the door, the atmosphere shifted. It was completely different from the outside I had just come from.
The loud buzz of conversation, laughter, and gambling filled the massive hall. Warm light spilled from hanging lanterns, casting a golden hue over a room that felt alive. It was loud. It was chaotic.
It reminded me of my ship- the Red force and also my times on my captain's Gol D. Roger's ship- Oro Jackson.
But it was in distant past and I should focus on the present.
I stood at the entrance for a second. This was my first time coming here since my memories returned but everything was familiar and natural.
"Yo! Shanks!"
I glanced at the man. He looked at bit like...
'Shanks!'
I controlled myself. I could not keep on thinking about the past.
"Yo!" I waved at the man walking towards him but stopped.
"Drinking this early?" I asked. I condoned drinking. I was just a bit jealous.
"Don't start lecturing me brat. I know you took a sip of it yesterday."
I laughed it off.
I remembered it.
It was something I did as a kid in both of my previous lives. Alcohol fascinated and also helped me.
And I moved around. I could see Macao and Wakaba gambling with other members in a corner of the Guild.
"Oi! Shanks!"
I heard the voice and instantly turned towards it. To the bar.
"Gildarts!"
I called out.
One of the strongest Wizards in Fiore and the ace of Fairy Tail. It's strongest.
Gildarts Clive.
"Come here brat."
I nodded and walked towards him. Besides him was a rather beautiful lady.
He had his hand around her.
"Yo! What's up?"
I greeted the man. He had a smug look on his face and the flush face as well as the empty bottle was a good indicator that he was drunk.
"All good."
I nodded and sat beside him.
"Meet my girlfriend." He pointed at the girl and I nodded.
"Are you his brother?" The lady instantly asked me and though I was not. I nodded.
"Yup. He is."
And so the questions began...
It was something I was very familiar with. Gildarts would date a girl and tell the girl I was his honest little brother and the girl in question will start asking me questions.
It was never boring even though he would bring a new girl every two week or so. They were always kind to me since I was the supposedly little brother.
'It was fun.'
Before long an hour had passed. We talked about various things and my new consciousness had made me realized something. I never bothered to remember the name of these girls.
...And this girl was the same.
And life continued like that.
It was boring and three week passed and Gildarts called me to his house.
...And I was surprised.
There I met Cornellia.
