Kaito Ren sat in stunned silence.

The words "Your story is now live" blinked gently in the corner of his screen. That tiny notification marked the beginning of something far greater than he could yet imagine.

He leaned back, exhaled slowly, and stared up at the ceiling. A strange feeling bubbled in his chest—a mix of anxiety, disbelief, and cautious pride.

"I just did it… I actually published the first chapter of One Piece... in a world where it never existed."

He let out a shaky chuckle, then rubbed his eyes. The clock on his desk showed 2:17 AM. Most of the city slept, but Kaito's mind was buzzing with thoughts. Could people here appreciate a tale like One Piece? Would they mock it for being childish? Would they even understand the concept of a boy setting out on the sea to chase an impossible dream?

He stood and walked to the window.

Below, a couple of women in sleek work attire strolled by, chatting and laughing under streetlights. In this world, women occupied every seat of power—CEOs, scientists, soldiers, lawmakers. Men mostly supported from the sidelines, and creativity? That was a luxury often reserved for the elite.

Kaito, a man without status, wealth, or a "notable woman" behind him, was just a low-tier freelancer trying to get by.

"But none of that matters," he whispered, "as long as I can write."

He returned to his laptop, heart pounding. With a nervous gulp, he clicked on his story title under the "My Projects" tab and saw it.

Title: One Piece

@MaidSlayer69:

YO THIS IS RAW. I need more. That kid with the straw hat got crazy energy.

Kaito couldn't help but grin.

"Someone liked it."

He refreshed the page obsessively for another fifteen minutes, watching the views crawl up to 9, then 14. He didn't expect much—it was a quiet weekday night. But just that little bit of engagement was enough to light a fire in his chest.

Without hesitation, he opened a blank document.

"Let's write Chapter 2."

[CHAPTER CONTENT: "The Boy with the Straw Hat"]

The orange glow of the setting sun drenched the calm waters of Dawn Island. On a small fishing boat anchored near the shore, a young boy with a wide grin and round scar under his left eye looked up at the older, one-armed man before him.

"I wanna be a pirate!" the boy shouted, clenching his fists.

The crew on the boat burst into laughter, the kind that echoed across the bay.

"You? A pirate?" said a big man with goggles, still chuckling. "You can't even swim, kid!"

The boy pouted but didn't back down. His name was Monkey D. Luffy—and he had a dream.

One day, he would set sail. One day, he would find the greatest treasure the world had ever known.

One day… he would be King of the Pirates.

The older man, tall and calm with a long red coat and a straw hat perched on his head, just smiled. "If you're serious, Luffy," he said, kneeling down to meet the boy's eyes, "then I'll be watching."

He reached up and took off his hat.

"Here," he said, placing the straw hat on Luffy's head. "Return it to me when you've become a great pirate."

Luffy's eyes widened in awe. He touched the brim of the hat with trembling fingers.

"I will!"

As the ship sailed away, Luffy stood alone on the cliffside, wind ruffling his black hair, face full of determination.

Years would pass, but that moment would stay with him forever.

Kaito's fingers flew over the keys, the scenes clear in his mind. This was it. The origin of the Straw Hat legacy. The promise. The dream. The fire in a young boy's heart.

He uploaded the second chapter at 3:41 AM, his eyes bloodshot but filled with light.

@SilverEmpress88:

Whoa…. That scene with the hat? Chills. Absolute chills.

@BooksBeforeBoys:

I'm not even into pirate stuff but the writing here is top-tier.

@QuietWatcher12:

Luffy reminds me of my little brother. So much heart. I'm rooting for this kid already.

@EmpressMira:

Is this based on an old mythology or is this all original? This feels legendary.

@MaidSlayer69:

I KNEW THIS STORY WAS GOING PLACES!! WE GOT RED-HAIRED SHANKS IN DA HOUSE

Kaito stared at the screen, overwhelmed.

This wasn't just nostalgia anymore. This was real. These people—these women from another world who had never heard of anime or manga—were falling in love with the same story that had shaped his own soul.

For the first time in years, Kaito felt seen.

He leaned back and laughed—loud and raw and honest.

"Let's see how far One Piece can go in this world."
