Many people can't imagine how terrifying the power of a rapid-fire cannon, weighing over a ton, would be when used as a massive hammer.
To put it simply, consider this: the average weight of a common van is around one ton. Now, imagine that Chu Xun is using a van as a hammer to smash people, and this weapon is far more durable than the van itself.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Thanks to the influence of the ant genes, Chu Xun's strength has reached an incredibly terrifying level. As he unleashes his full power, the impact is nothing short of earth-shattering.
The rapid-fire cannon's base, which has a diameter of at least three meters, comes down like a massive hammer, smashing into the zombies. In an instant, all the zombies hit by the cannon base are crushed and shattered like watermelons under the wheels of a car. Their bodies burst into fragments, scattering everywhere, along with gory remains, blood, and various disgusting fluids, spraying in all directions like a torrential storm.
This is just the beginning. After clearing out all the nearby zombies with one blow, Chu Xun lets out another roar, then hurls the cannon base, now held tightly in his hands, toward the building housing the control center in the distance.
Boom!
The tremendous force, coupled with the cannon's weight, creates a powerful sound as it tears through the air, turning into a massive steel meteor, shooting forward.
"Damn!"
Vincent, who was fighting zombies in the crowd, suddenly felt a gust of wind rush toward him. His face changed drastically as he quickly turned around. He saw a huge silver object streak past him with terrifying wind pressure, crashing into the dense zombie horde, which resembled a black ocean.
What followed was a bloodbath of the most brutal kind!
Poof! Poof! Poof!
Even Chu Xun didn't anticipate that his full-force strike would unleash such terrifying power. The enormous cannon base smashed into the zombie horde as if a car was speeding through a watermelon patch, instantly clearing a three-meter wide blood trail through the zombies. All zombies in its path were torn to pieces, with bone fragments and remains flying into the air like an eerie firework display, only to fall back to the ground in pieces.
Boom!
A second later, the gigantic cannon base had plowed through the entire zombie horde, slamming heavily into the steel doors of the base's building, sending a deafening shockwave throughout the city.
At the same time, the three-meter-thick steel doors, made from specially designed metal, were deeply dented, with the cannon base embedded into them. The violent impact even generated intense heat, causing the rapid-fire cannon to glow red.
"Such a monstrous power!"
Both Vincent and Yang Ling gasped in awe. Vincent, though a peak-level first-tier superpowered person himself, could only feel shock and fear in the face of Chu Xun's terrifying strength.
He couldn't help but imagine what the result would be if he fought Chu Xun one-on-one.
He quickly shook his head, knowing the answer. His Thorn Body ability was indeed powerful, but facing Chu Xun, he had no confidence at all. With that kind of strength, Chu Xun could easily tear through his defenses and obliterate his body with any weapon similar to the rapid-fire cannon.
"Power conquers all," he thought.
"Quick, open the door now!"
At this moment, Chu Xun's shout snapped Vincent and Yang Ling out of their shock. They quickly came to their senses and rushed toward the door, following the blood path Chu Xun had cleared.
At the same time, the massive figure of the Tyrant grew closer. The heavy footsteps could even be felt trembling the ground.
"Give me 45 seconds!"
Yang Ling was the first to reach the door. He immediately took out a device from his computer bag and connected it to the electronic lock on the door, speaking in a deep voice: "The door's locked. I need time to unlock it!"
"Hurry up!"
Though 45 seconds may not sound like much, it could be a matter of life and death in this crucial moment. Chu Xun and Vincent both broke out in cold sweat as they looked at the approaching Tyrant and the zombies following in its wake.
"Almost done!"
In the dire situation, Yang Ling still maintained his calm expression, though beads of sweat trickled down his face, betraying his nervousness. He was fully focused on unlocking the door, using both his abilities and the technological device. His intense concentration meant he could no longer control the floating metal discs, so they spun and cut autonomously, creating a barrier to stop the approaching zombies.
The sharpness of these metal discs was terrifying. The dozens of spinning discs formed a massive metal tornado around Chu Xun and the others, cutting any zombie that came close into pieces, reducing them to nothing but debris and shattered bones.
Thanks to the protection of the metal discs, Chu Xun and the others were momentarily safe, with not a single zombie breaking through the barrier to harm them. However, they didn't dare relax and grew even more tense.
The Tyrant was almost there!
Roar!
The Tyrant, resembling a giant, let out a violent roar as it saw Chu Xun and the others just over ten meters away. It then slammed its two-meter-long right claw into the ground with terrifying force.
Boom!
With a loud sound, the hard concrete ground was pierced by the Tyrant's claw as if it were tofu. The Tyrant then tore the earth apart with its muscles, grabbing a massive chunk of concrete and hurling it toward Chu Xun and the others.
Clang! Clang!
The five-meter-long chunk of concrete, like a small hill, flew through the air with a deafening sound and wind pressure, crashing heavily into the barrier formed by the metal discs.
In the blink of an eye, the dozens of metal discs collided with the massive concrete block, slicing it into pieces amid a series of violent impacts. However, the tremendous force behind the concrete block sent the discs flying to the ground, twisting and breaking them apart, completely destroying the defense.
Poof!
As the metal discs were instantly destroyed, Yang Ling, still desperately working to unlock the door, was hit by the debris, coughing up a mouthful of blood. However, despite this, Yang Ling remained focused, even leaving the blood on his lips untouched.
He knew that the faster he opened the door, the sooner they would escape the danger!
Roar!
With the metal disc barrier obliterated, the Tyrant roared again and took another step forward, heading straight for Chu Xun and the others.
"We have to stop the Tyrant!"
Chu Xun and Vincent exchanged a glance, nodding at each other, and then rushed towards the Tyrant.
As they charged forward, Chu Xun tore the twisted, deformed rapid-fire cannon off the door and used it as a weapon, hurling it at the Tyrant.
To deal with such a giant enemy, they needed a giant weapon!
Roar!
The rapid-fire cannon base, weighing over a ton, was wielded by Chu Xun like a huge hammer, smashing it down at the Tyrant's head.
Sensing the immense power contained in the cannon base, the Tyrant immediately let out a roar, swinging its claw to intercept the incoming weapon.
Clang!
The rapid-fire cannon base was made of an alloy as tough as first-tier metals. But sadly for the cannon, the Tyrant's claws were even sharper. A violent clash of metal echoed, followed by a blinding flash of sparks.
Then, the cannon base's metallic groans became audible as the Tyrant's claws tore a piece off the cannon. The immense power caused the cannon to fly from Chu Xun's hands, sending him soaring through the air.
Boom!
With a massive crash, Chu Xun and the cannon slammed into a nearby building, crashing straight through it, disappearing into the rubble and dust, their fate unknown.
With just one strike, the full force of Chu Xun was knocked away, leaving his life in question. The Tyrant's strength was terrifying beyond words!
But worse things were coming.
Just as Chu Xun was sent flying by the Tyrant's attack, seven or eight red figures appeared from the far ends of the streets, rushing toward the group at an incredible speed.
The massive noise finally drew more of the Lickers!
The bloodbath was about to begin!
