Chapter 47 - Chapter 47: Battle with the Tyrant!

"Damn it!"

As Vincent watched the approaching Lickers and the Tyrant walking toward him after knocking Chu Xun away, a hint of hesitation flashed in his eyes.

As a battle-hardened Ruins Hunter, he understood the perilous situation he was in. The commotion here was spreading further, and the number of zombies pouring in from all directions was increasing. If he stayed here any longer, he would likely die in this death city, becoming part of the fallen.

Although he knew staying here was dangerous, when Vincent saw Yang Ling still focused on breaking the control base door, he shook his head, took a deep breath, and his gaze became resolute once more.

As an elemental-based ability user, Yang Ling's physical strength was not very high. Moreover, he had been injured earlier, and without Vincent's protection, he would undoubtedly die.

As a warrior, Vincent could never abandon his comrade and flee alone.

Besides, the Lord of Battle Maniacs might be watching him right now!

Thinking of that legendary warrior, Vincent's fighting spirit ignited.

It's just a Tyrant, what's there to be afraid of?!

"Ha!" With this thought, a cold light flashed in Vincent's eyes. He leaped forward, charging straight at the Tyrant.

Compared to a monster like the Tyrant, passively taking hits was like asking for death!

"Roar!" Seeing Vincent charge at him, the Tyrant seemed to feel its dignity had been provoked. It roared and swung its claws at Vincent.

Although the Tyrant appeared slow, it was merely an illusion due to its enormous size. With terrifying strength, its claws moved like lightning, shining with a cold gleam and tearing through the air with a deafening sound, aiming straight for Vincent's head.

"So fast!" As he saw the Tyrant's claws coming at him like lightning, Vincent's pupils constricted. His footwork shifted unexpectedly, and he spun like a top, narrowly dodging the Tyrant's claws and reappearing beside it.

Boom!

With a loud crash, the Tyrant's claws slammed into the ground where Vincent had just been, tearing up the earth and sending chunks of rubble flying in all directions, with a cloud of dust quickly rising and spreading.

"Ha!" At the same time, Vincent, now beside the Tyrant, let out a fierce shout. His right foot slammed into the ground, his thorny spikes digging deep into the earth like nail studs, firmly anchoring him. Then, his body spun violently, and his right arm shot out like a crossbow bolt, accompanied by a sonic boom, smashing toward the Tyrant.

Bang!

With a heavy thud, Vincent's right fist struck the Tyrant's side. The sharp thorns on his fist barely pierced the Tyrant's skin, digging into its muscle.

"Roar!" Injured by a "meal," the Tyrant roared in fury. It swung its right elbow with lightning speed toward Vincent.

"Damn it!" Faced with the Tyrant's right elbow coming at him, Vincent's face changed dramatically. He shifted his footwork again, preparing to dodge. However, the Tyrant's elbow was too fast. Even though Vincent tried his best to avoid it, he couldn't completely dodge in time and was struck on his left shoulder.

Boom!

With a loud crash, the thick layer of thorns on Vincent's body collapsed, and he was sent flying like a ball hit by a powerful blow. He slammed onto the ground several meters away, unable to move for a moment.

"Damn, so strong!" Feeling the intense pain from his left shoulder, Vincent's face turned pale. At the same time, he couldn't help but feel a wave of relief.

If it weren't for his timely use of the "Waltz Step" to dodge and not taking the full force of the Tyrant's attack, and if his thorny armor hadn't greatly reduced the damage, his shoulder would likely have been shattered, not just painful.

However, the Tyrant wasn't unscathed. After sending Vincent flying, its right elbow had been injured by the thorns on Vincent's body. The parasites within the thorns were already reproducing in the Tyrant's flesh. Tiny insects, like ants, could be seen wriggling through the Tyrant's blood and flesh, gnawing away at it.

"Roar!" Feeling the tiny bugs gnawing at its blood and flesh, the Tyrant went into a complete rage. It ignored the closer Yang Ling and roared, tearing up the ground with its claws. It grabbed a large piece of concrete, about five meters in diameter, and hurled it violently toward Vincent.

One had to admit that Vincent had truly fulfilled his duty as a warrior. Not only did he injure the Tyrant, but he also successfully "taunted" it, drawing its hatred.

However, the Tyrant's hatred wasn't something easy to bear. As Vincent saw the massive concrete block shooting toward him like a small mountain, his expression grew grave, and he leaped to dodge.

But before he could react, two red shadows appeared, blocking his escape route. The two Lickers, having caught up after the delay, were now attempting to corner and kill this powerful human with the Tyrant.

If this had been any other time, Vincent wouldn't have felt much pressure facing two Lickers. After all, the thick thorns on his body could resist their attacks and even counterattack.

However, in this situation, the appearance of the two Lickers was life-threatening. They had completely blocked Vincent's escape route. Even if Vincent could kill them, he probably wouldn't be able to avoid the crushing fate of the massive concrete block.

As Vincent felt the terrifying force behind the massive concrete block, accompanied by the gale it brought, a flash of despair flickered in his eyes.

In the end, I'm still too weak!

However, at this moment, Vincent forgot one crucial detail—he wasn't fighting alone!

Just as the massive concrete block was about to crush him, a rust-colored metallic object shot out from the ruins of a building and slammed into the concrete block with a thunderous crash.

Boom!

The massive metal cannon and concrete block collided with a deafening roar. The cannon was sent flying, twisting in the air before crashing to the ground in a heap, while the concrete block shattered from the impact, leaving only small fragments that fell onto Vincent, causing no harm.

At the same time, two shadows streaked toward him. The left shadow merged into one of the Licker's shadows, and from within the shadow, several black tendrils shot out, binding the Licker to the ground.

At the same time, a sharp dagger emerged from the shadows and drove straight into the exposed brain of the Licker. The creature trembled and collapsed.

One Licker was silently dealt with!

The other Licker fared even worse. A black lightning-like alien slammed the Licker to the ground and, before it could struggle, the alien's inner teeth shot out, piercing the Licker's brain. The alien's inner teeth then retracted, pulling a primal crystal core from the Licker's brain and into the alien's mouth.

After devouring the crystal core, the alien's body flashed with a blue glow, and its size visibly increased to about 2.5 meters.

"Damn, if you'd been any later, I'd be a corpse by now!" Seeing Chu Xun, along with Chu Hang and the alien, emerge from the ruins and take down the Lickers, Vincent finally breathed a sigh of relief and cursed.

"The Tyrant's power is terrifying. That blow almost knocked me out..." Chu Xun shook his head, then his expression turned serious as he looked at the Tyrant, which was still roaring in the distance. He shouted, "Enough talk, we need to stop this guy first!"

"Damn it, we're risking our lives again!" Hearing Chu Xun's words, Chu Hang couldn't help but groan inwardly. His figure shot forward, turning into a black shadow as he dashed toward the Tyrant.

At the same time, Vincent, Chu Xun, and the alien also leaped forward, charging toward the Tyrant.
