Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: A visitor

"I mean that girl you 'saved' and now kept trapped in your house."

"..."

"Think about it. Those hands would have done some really unpleasant things." She smiled. Even though she was sadistic, she was being frank and he didn't answer even to his discomfort.

"What? Not going to answer? We both saw it." She grew closer. Her voice was stronger "Those hands wer–"

"BEEP!! BEEP!! BEEP!! BEEP!!" The alarm broke the tension. Relieving him of his discomfort, he sighted and then restated the timer.

"Thanks to you, I only have forty-five minutes left!" he said and marched away. It wasn't her fault he wasted fifteen minutes, but she did take some.

"Come help me find a store!" he screamed " Or a river, I need one."

But the lady did not answer; her silence wasn't new. He glanced back just to check if she was there, and she was.

Raising a brow, he asked, "Why aren't you moving?"

"No reason…" her answer was cold. But not as in, malicious cold or indifference. It was like confusion and she wanted him to know.

Feeling or should I say seeing her mood state, his lips curled while his brow furrowed. "Weird bitch."

" I can hear you, you know?"

"Good!"

Sofia sat in the dark, dusty room. At this time of day, she would be walking around or cleaning the room, after all the chains didn't restrict her. She guessed she had gotten pretty lazy after fifty days. Even if she was "trapped" her freedom remained the same.

"Haaaaa! I'm so bored… And he isn't here now."

She touched her face as she recalled the past. The cuts still hadn't healed yet. Flipping to the other side of the bed and curled up with her pillow. Burying her head " If… if he ha–"

"Awww, little missy here has a crush." A slurred raspy voice spoke from behind.

Jumping up, Sofia glanced around. Even if it was dark, nothing was in the room, but her pillow and the bed nailed to the floor.

"Who's there!?"

"Why does that matter?"

"You're in a lady's room you know? Have some decency.!" her jaw clenched, but it couldn't hide the fear in her eyes.

"Your performance is amazing, you know? A god of trickery would love you."

"What are you talking about?!" she could now tell it was moving, but still not where it was.

"Many secrets you have. If I wasn't watching you for a few days now, I would have thought you hated him." Its voice grew closer.

"Are you trying to make him go mad?" it was now behind her.

She ran to the door, putting her back against it. Her chains almost pulled her back.

"You emasculated his spirit, his action, his choices." Its figure started to manifest from the shadow. Its dark silhouette slowly dripped as it formed itself.

From the liquid shadow, was a man in his early twenties, eyes blue with dark cherry hair. He was lean and tall, not much of a fighting type.

"You don't look like how you sound. You know?" she said, sweat dripping off her face, Her eyes twitched.

"So what are you going to do?"

He said nothing as he drew closer. His head fell to her ear, as he gave it a lick before speaking.

" Just a warning…" His eyes smiled. " An arrow can be shot twice, but it itself can not shoot." He then gave a wave before vanishing.

"What does that mean?"
