Chapter 29 - 29

Many people have suggested I add chapter titles. Uh... it's not that I'm lazy and don't want to, it's just that coming up with titles is really my weakness...

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

I felt a little disappointed. After all, the quantity of items dropped by Elite Level Monsters is limited, and among them was actually a Potion. This was quite frustrating.

But when I took it out and looked, my expression involuntarily changed from sad to happy, even ecstatic.

It was actually a Full Rejuvenation Potion!

Oh my god, even if Lars hadn't told me how precious and rare this cute little thing was, I would still recognize the importance of this Potion. In this real world, a Full Rejuvenation Potion like this is equivalent to a life!

You can calculate: not counting Equipment and Attribute Bonuses, Mana recovers only 1 point every 10 minutes. Drinking a Minor Mana Potion adds only 10 points every 10 minutes, lasting 40 minutes. A Light Mana Potion adds 20 points every 10 minutes, lasting 40 minutes (these are just a few examples; the recovery speed of other Potions is also different from the Game, I'll introduce them later).

From this, it's clear how precious a Rejuvenation Potion that can instantly restore 35% is. In a critical moment, if you have a Potion like this, it can often turn the tide of battle, or at the very least, save a life. Frankly speaking, if I were to trade this Full Rejuvenation Potion in the Market right now, I could even exchange it for a piece of Magic Equipment. Of course, that's assuming someone else has spare Magic Equipment.

Of course, there's no way I'd trade it. I can slowly farm for Equipment, but I can't sell this life-saving item.

However, this Potion is still a bit too luxurious for me right now. After all, I only have 24 Mana at the moment, and after Werewolf Form, I only have 137 Life. 35% won't add much. Unless it's a life-or-death moment, I won't use it easily.

I carefully wiped this Full Rejuvenation Potion clean before putting it into a corner of my Inventory Space. This corner is specifically for storing Valuable Items. Of course, right now, it only contains the Full Rejuvenation Potion and the Bugged Amulet.

After putting away the Rejuvenation Potion, I continued searching, completely ignoring the Fallen Mage's Corpse, which was already rotten beyond recognition.

"Yi?"

Why are there so many Bottles? I reached in and immediately felt another Bottle. Not only that, there seemed to be many identical Bottles nearby. I was puzzled, thinking, did I run into the legendary Medicine King?

I pulled one out to look, and it turned out to be a bundle of over a dozen slender small Bottles tied together. I was dizzy...

The color of the Bottles was a bit like Healing Potions, red, but there was a slight difference; it was red with a hint of yellow, and the shape was much smaller. The patterns and shape on the outside were exquisite and beautiful, completely different from Healing Potions.

Exploding Potion: Quantity 15, Damage 5-15

There were a total of 15 small Bottles in the bundle, meaning a Quantity of 15 Exploding Potions. Sigh, I really feel sorry for this Elite Level Fallen. I don't know how its thin, short body managed to drop 15 such Potions.

But this is another good item! I could barely stop smiling. Exploding Potions weren't very prominent in the Game, but in this world, they are incredibly rare good items. Just look at their Damage. The Wooden Club I have right now only has [stats]! And it's a ranged attack, practically the signature item for the invincible sneaky style! Especially in the early stage, it's very useful for people, almost like small grenades. If used well, maybe I can even bully Monsters I didn't dare to provoke before.

Ah, what a pity, the Quantity is a bit low, only 15 Bottles.

If only it were Strangling Gas Potions, that would be overpowered! If Exploding Potions are grenades, then Strangling Gas Potions are definitely small poison gas bombs. Throw one out, and when the Poison Gas spreads, the Damage definitely won't be inferior to my Poison Creeper. However, Strangling Gas Potions, known as the treasure of mankind, are very hard to drop, just like Rejuvenation Potions.

My hand continued to search downwards. It seemed I had almost finished searching. This time I searched for a long time, until the Fallen Mage's Corpse was about to disappear, before I touched an item.

It's Equipment! Based on the feel in my hand, I judged with pleasant surprise.

I quickly pulled out the piece of Equipment to look. It turned out to be a Belt, and it was a Normal Belt. While excited, I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed.

Sash: 2 Defense, Durability 12-12

Honestly, Belts are arguably the most useless Equipment in the early stage because they provide the lowest Defense.

What? You say it also comes with Potion Slots? That's right, but think carefully, are Potion Slots useful in the early stage?

Perhaps in the Game, Belts are indeed the favorite of countless lazy people. Just press a Hotkey and you're done, it's really convenient.

But don't forget this isn't a Game, but the real world. Putting Potions in a Belt is indeed much more convenient. When you need to take them out to use, it's a bit faster than keeping them in Inventory Space.

But don't forget, at this stage, I only have Minor Healing Potions and Minor Mana Potions. These Potions only add 10 points every 10 minutes. In a critical moment, if I can survive for 10 minutes waiting for recovery, what difference can that slight time gap make?

So, these 8 Potion Slots are basically useless for someone who only has low-level Potions. Putting Minor Healing Potions and Minor Mana Potions in them makes little difference compared to putting them in Inventory Space.

However, not to mention this is the first piece of Equipment I dropped, which has great commemorative value, it's not completely useless to me either, because I still have a Rejuvenation Potion. With a Rejuvenation Potion, the few seconds saved by this Belt seem to become useful again.

After thinking for a moment, I transferred the Rejuvenation Potion I had just put in the corner to the Belt. I also put a few Minor Healing Potions in there just to fill up space, after all, it can save some Inventory space, right? Every little bit helps.

During this time, the Fallen Mage's Corpse had already disappeared. I looked down at the ground and, damn, there were still 5 Gold Coins I hadn't felt just now. Elite Level Monsters are indeed rich! I happily picked up the 5 Gold Coins. I was already very satisfied with how many things this Elite dropped.

After grinning foolishly for a while, I slowly stood up. My Poison Creeper had already finished off its opponents, the 4 Fallen, while I was cleaning up the battlefield. They weren't the main course for it, at most just dessert.

I didn't expect it, really didn't expect it. Cleaning up the Fallen battlefield gave me another big surprise. Not only did I search out a Minor Healing Potion and over 1 Gold Coin from it, but there was actually a Cloth Cap! This Bugged Amulet is too overpowered, even Mobs have to drop Equipment! Which piece of Equipment on Lars and the others wasn't an Elite drop?

How does that saying go? Three years without business, three years of food from one deal. That's probably what it means. Hoho...

I was so happy I almost lost my bearings. This Hat, although its Defense isn't as good as Armor, is still a good item! At least at this stage, I think it's more useful than a Sash.

Perhaps some people will say, it's just a few points of Defense, is it worth caring about so much?

Whoever says that, step forward and flick your [censored] a hundred times! Saying something like that shows you are still confusing the Game with this real Diablo World.

Honestly, in the Game, I really wouldn't care much, but in this real world, I truly experienced the importance of Defense. That warm current transformed from Defense spreads throughout my body, making me truly feel its existence. Even one more point of Defense gives me an extra sense of security.

Damaged Cap: 4 Defense, Durability 5-7

Ah, what a pity there are the words "Damaged" in front, giving this piece of Equipment a slight discount. A little less Durability is fine, I can just ask Charsi to repair it often. Anyway, I've entered the minorly wealthy class now, I don't lack this Money. But the lost Defense cannot be repaired.

However, thinking about it, I put aside the regret in my heart. Don't be too greedy. It's already good enough that Mobs can drop Equipment. It's reasonable for it to be a bit worn.

I carefully examined this Hat. The texture was a bit old, and there were scuff marks on it. Thankfully, at least there were no holes.

I put it on crookedly. I knew I must look ridiculous right now. How to describe it? Like the character played by Chen Peisi in a skit, during the War of Resistance, wearing a crooked small cloth cap on his head, saying "Imperial Army" one moment and "Communist bandits" the next, like a traitor.

But there's nothing I can do. It's not that I don't want to wear this Hat properly, but because it's Damaged, I simply can't wear it properly. The hanging ear flaps stick to my ears like two dog skin plasters, no matter how I wear it, it feels crooked. Forget it, traitor head it is. Sigh, it's nothing, I'll just take it off before returning to the Camp. I absolutely cannot let the scheming Lars see it, otherwise, I don't know how much he'll mock me. Hmph, actually, what he's wearing on his head is the same stuff as mine, just without the word "Damaged"...
