En, there are many comments in the book reviews criticizing my writing for being drawn out. I admit, this is true. Even for a novel of the 'Travelogue' genre, the content in my recent chapters has been a bit too verbose. I was wrong, and I will try my best to change.
However, I mentioned in the 'Works Related' section that I am a beginner, and my writing style is still quite rusty. I am currently writing based on feeling. If I were to forcefully change my train of thought now, it could easily lead to the collapse of my writing inspiration, resulting in continuous mistakes and countless bugs. It's like playing sports; once you lose morale and feel, you can't even perform at one-tenth of your usual level. My original level is already barely passable, so I'm sure everyone definitely doesn't want to see me in a one-tenth state.
Therefore, I can only try my best to make changes while maintaining this feeling. I don't know if I will succeed, so the plot might still be drawn out frequently in the future. But there's nothing I can do. As I said, I am not a Great God and don't have the ability to mold the work however I want. Being sometimes good and sometimes bad is a common occurrence. After all, I am human and still need honing, so I hope everyone can continue to support me.
Finally, I also have to defend myself a bit. Although the plot is a bit drawn out, at least I wrote over 7000+ characters a day! My typing speed is very slow, and these 7000+ characters take me over 10 hours. I haven't left the house for over 10 days now!
With so much effort, I should be able to make up for some of the plot mistakes. So, although it hasn't happened yet, I'll bow to everyone here first as a reminder. I hope those who complain about me being drawn out will be a bit merciful with their words when scolding me, hehe, I'm extremely grateful.

For over half a month, I had been constantly on edge in the Den of Evil, battling, killing, ambushing, and escaping. The entire world was filled with the smell of blood and the shadow of death. Even when sleeping, my heart never relaxed for a moment. Now, suddenly smelling the safe and peaceful aura emanating from my surroundings, my steps, which had just been energetic, suddenly felt like they were weighed down by a thousand-pound iron block. Every step I took felt incredibly difficult.
Dragging my fatigued steps, I finally managed to reach the Dream Hotel that Doug had brought me to last time. Almost a month had passed, but the chubby boss seemed to still remember me and enthusiastically greeted me from the Entrance. I was exhausted, too lazy to even say a few words. The amiable boss before my eyes seemed to have turned into a Simmons mattress.
With effort, I pulled out a few gold coins and threw them to the boss, took the key from him, and opened the Room door. Before I even saw the soft big bed, I had already collapsed onto the floor. 55~~ What a waste! If I had known I was going to sleep on the floor, I should have asked for the cheapest Room. This was my last consciousness before closing my eyes.
...
...
When I woke up, it was already close to noon. The dazzling sunlight shone in through the curtains, and the chirping unknown birds outside the window were the culprits and helpers that woke me up. Squinting, I slightly pressed my hand in front of my forehead to block the dazzling sunlight from directly ravaging my eyeballs, but suddenly discovered that I was lying in an extremely strange posture.
My current situation was that my upper body was lying on the floor, while the part from my thighs down was resting on the bed.
OMG, I remember clearly that before sleeping, I collapsed on the floor not far from the Entrance. Could I have a sleepwalking habit? In an instant, this guess scared me so much that I broke out in a cold sweat. I almost imagined myself in the future, camping out during adventuring, sleepwalking to a Fallen Camp at night, and then very consciously jumping into that big cauldron amidst their "exotic" butt-wiggling dance...
Awkward...
However, if I really had sleepwalking disorder, I would have been killed by monsters long ago. How could I still be alive now? Thinking of this, my heart calmed down a lot.
...
Right, what did Corpsefire drop? I haven't looked closely yet. A large pile of things were stacked together. I was in a hurry at the time and picked them up quickly, not even knowing what they were. As for what the mobs dropped, thinking of this, I couldn't help but scoff at the character of those three people. Hundreds of Rotting Corpses and Brutes combined only dropped a little over 6 gold coins, and two bottles of Healing Potion.
I opened my Inventory and took out the things Corpsefire dropped one by one.
The largest pile inside was a bunch of dark, fragmented stuff. I opened my eyes wide, trying to see something from this pile of unknown objects. Unfortunately, I didn't believe in that Great Eye, nor did I have an Identify function. Even this pile of fragments didn't have any attributes. I didn't know what it was. I had never seen this kind of thing in the game before.
I temporarily put this pile of black fragments down and picked up the second item.
This was a belt, and it was Unidentified. But seeing the slight blue glow it emitted, I knew without guessing that it should be a piece of Magic Equipment.
Although I had known for a long time that Corpsefire might drop some Unidentified Equipment, I was still uncontrollably excited when I actually saw the sash in my hand. After all, it was the first time I had dropped Magic Equipment! The only drawback was that I already had one. It would have been great if it could drop something I didn't have, like boots or rings.
Staring intently at this belt, I reached out from the Tome of Identify in my Inventory, took out an Identify Scroll, and unfolded it onto it.
Fiery Strong Sash: 3 Defense; Durability 12-12; +27% Enhanced Defense; Fire Resistance +14%
Good attributes. Seeing the Fire Resistance attribute, my heart stirred.
Casually putting the sash back into the Inventory, I picked up the next piece of equipment.
Looking at this dark piece of armor, what a pity, it had no light at all. When I first held it in my hand, I thought it was armor, but looking closely, how could armor be that big? I quickly held it in my hand—
Apprentice's Cloak: 8 Defense; Durability 20-20; +1 to Frozen Armor; +3 Energy; +14 Mana; Required Level 3
Unexpectedly, it was a piece of Special Equipment—a hooded cloak.
In the real Diablo system, because there is no equipment slot limit, there are many more types of items. For example, this cloak is a type of Special Equipment and is the favorite of Mages. The attributes of these cloaks are similar to those of class weapons, having a high chance of coming with +Skill attributes. Good or bad isn't judged by color. Even a white cloak can add N number of skills, while a gold cloak isn't necessarily good; it's very likely a pile of junk attributes with no skills at all.
Of course, it should be noted that although there is no equipment slot limit and the types of equipment have increased, in terms of quantity, except for rings, you can only wear one piece of other equipment. Of course, you can wear N pieces, like armor. If you can wear it, you can wear 10 pieces, but only the attributes of the innermost one will be effective.
After setting aside the cloak, the remaining things were clear at a glance: a pile of 13 gold coins, and a stack of green bottles.
These green bottles were different from the slender Exploding Potions; they were plump, and the bottle body was a bit round. I was overjoyed as I held one in my hand and looked, and as expected!
Strangling Gas Potion: Quantity 22; Throwing Damage 24; Required Level: 6
Good stuff! It's a poison gas bomb! Its attack range can almost compare to Frost Nova learned by Mages at Level 12 (Level 6 in game), but the damage is almost 10 times higher than a Level 1 Frost Nova. Those ordinary Fallen simply die upon contact!
Wait, speaking of Strangling Gas Potions, don't I still have 15 bottles of Exploding Potions?
I suddenly froze.
Don't stop me, just let me die.
After a while, I suddenly beat my chest and stomped my feet, almost bursting into tears. Why? Why did I forget about the Exploding Potions when killing Corpsefire? If I had used them then, I wouldn't have been so pathetic at all, and that precious bottle of Full Rejuvenation Potion wouldn't have been wasted. 55~~~~
I forcefully pushed open the window and took a deep breath.
"Wu Fan, you idiot donkey... donkey... donkey... (echo)"
I almost shouted it out with a hoarse voice. The sound echoed throughout the center of the entire Rogue Encampment, lingering for a long time. It seems my usual roar isn't much worse than Doug's. I didn't expect I still had tenor talent.
After scolding myself, my heart indeed felt much better. As expected, self-harm is the best medicine for curing regret, it's just that the consequences might be a bit serious. I'll experience it soon.
I threw that pile of fragments, the gold coins, and the Strangling Gas Potions all into the Inventory. As for the cloak, I put it on directly. Anyway, this equipment-type normal cloak looks similar to those common item type cloaks, so no Mage would ever see that I'm wearing the equipment-type Sorceress cloak they dream of, hoho...
However, what I least expected happened. Just as I put on this cloak, a realization immediately flashed in my mind, just like the feeling of instantly understanding something I couldn't understand at all before. A cooling sensation I had never experienced before spread out from my brain, followed by a large section of incantation I had never seen appearing in my mind. As if in a trance, I closed my eyes and carefully followed the trajectory of the incantation in my mind, engraving my internal strength onto it. When my strength completely covered this section of incantation, the entire section of incantation suddenly surged with a white light, spreading out from within my body...
Feeling like I was suddenly in a refrigerator, I immediately opened my eyes and discovered there were tiny specks of frost, like snow spirits, playfully surrounding me, appearing and disappearing, beautiful like a painting...
Frozen Armor, I murmured the name of the skill attached to the incantation I had just cast. My heart suddenly understood. Such an incredible thing happening to myself was only natural, as if I was born to have this kind of ability.
Frozen Armor Level 1; Defense Bonus 30%; Duration 140 seconds; When an enemy is in melee, the instant after attacking the caster, they will be frozen. The specific frozen duration is determined by the strength comparison between the monster and the caster. This spell can only be cast on oneself.
Looking at the cloak on my body, it was easy to associate that my current skill was granted by the cloak. I tried taking off the cloak, and indeed, the Frozen Armor on my body immediately disappeared, and the incantation in my mind also seemed like just a fleeting dream.
Why? No Adventurer has the ability to master skills of other classes from the attributes attached to equipment. Why can I?
Why is this happening? Actually, the answer is already very obvious. Up until now, the only thing different about me compared to other classes is this Redeemer identity.
I wasn't as excited as expected. Firstly, after experiencing the stimulation of the bugged amulet and bugged sword, I can now treat these sudden events relatively calmly. Secondly, actually, this ability isn't very overpowered in the early stage.
Because in the early stage, not to mention how hard it is to drop equipment that adds skills, even if there is, the added level isn't high, at most only Level 1 to 2. While I, who possess the bugged amulet, can reach Level 8 or higher with any skill, which is much more powerful than that.
So in the early stage, what I will rely on will still be my own Druid skills. Skills of other classes are more flashy than practical. Of course, this isn't absolute. For example, this Frozen Armor I just learned, even if it's only Level 1, is very useful. And later on, if I can find equipment that adds Mage's Teleport, or adds Assassin and Amazon's summoning skills, Necromancer's high-level curse skills, and Paladin's high-level aura skills, Barbarian's high-level warcry skills, and equipment like that, then it would be quite overpowered...
I wonder what kind of surprises this Redeemer identity can still bring me in the future. I'm starting to look forward to it...
