It had only been two days since the burial of her father, and she still hadn't accepted the fact that her father was gone.
Vivian happened to be the only child of the Beta of the Eclipse Born moon pack. He had ruled the pack with the Alpha king for eight years and was loyal to the core.
His death was caused because of the Lycan king's mission to dominate the pack and her father happened to be unfortunate. At least that was what she learned from the Alpha king when she got the news of her father's death.
Normally, an omega like Vivian wasn't supposed to know such information because it was confidential and only the Alpha and the Beta knew the reasoning for the killings happening in the pack.
But Vivian knew this because she overheard her father and the Alpha king discussing the issue one evening after the departure of the Beta of the Lycan king, hence she asked the Alpha king, in grief, if that was the reason she lost her father and his response, though it wasn't clear, she knew that her father's death was related to that incident.
It turned out the Beta of the Lycan king had come to warn the Alpha about the consequences he should expect for not complying with the demands of the Lycan king.
Vivian was devastated, wishing she wasn't a weak wolf and was secretly blessed by the moon goddess with some special abilities that she could use to end the Lycan king's life for killing her father, the only family she had.
But that was just fantasy. The moon goddess would never be on her side even if she was close to death. All her life, Vivian had suffered because she was an omega and when it was discovered that she and the Alpha king were mates, which was shocking because she was an omega, she saw the disappointment in his eyes.
Vivian believed that she could find solace in him now that her father was gone as he surprisingly didn't push her away or treat her badly upon feeling the bond between them. Instead, he promised to make her his Luna when the time was right, but at that moment they were together secretly as if they were dating. Could Vivian say that he was her only family and hope now?
However, the pain of never seeing her father again still lingered. She just had no choice but to let go as she didn't possess the power to bring the dead back to life. She wished she could; she desperately wished she could.
In the Eclipse Born moon pack, omegas were mostly the servants in the Alpha king's palace and on this day, all female omegas in the palace were called into a room.
Vivian didn't know what the occasion was about, but just like the others, she waited in the room for news or so. Soon after, a tall handsome man entered the room and was given a chair to sit on, indicating that he was an important person.
All the omegas in the room watched him as they waited for him to say something. He looked so different, and his aura was intimidating, not that he looked stern or cold, he just happened to look like someone who was so powerful, compared to a normal werewolf.
After a moment, as he studied the women omega in the room, he began to pick some of them one by one. None of them knew what was going on, but it was obvious that it wasn't something good or interesting.
Vivian couldn't get any information from the Alpha anymore because her father, the reason she usually had to go to the Alpha's office, was gone. Therefore, she couldn't assume what was going on and why some omegas were being selected.
Then, she happened to be the last one that was picked by the handsome, powerful-looking man sitting on the chair.
Every lady in the room was eighteen years old and also an omega. After some time, the Alpha king walked in and those who were not selected were told to leave the room. His eyes landed on Vivian, who was also looking at him. She was in love with him.
He removed his gaze from her and faced everyone. "This is a secret between the eight of you and everyone in this room," he was referring to the handsome man sitting down.
Vivian was interested in what he had to say because she was selected.
"You all are going to have to depart the pack and find your new home somewhere far away. For the safety of everyone in this pack, you are to settle in the Silver fang pack from now on!" he announced.
"I'm sorry, Alpha," Vivian's voice was heard, echoing in the large room. Everyone's attention fell on her, but even though she was an omega, she was a confident lady. Some said she was that confident because her father was a powerful werewolf, some said it was because she was the Alpha king's puppet, and some said it was because she was using her body to get what she wanted in the hands of those in power.
However, they were all wrong. Being an omega was the reason she hadn't been able to perform some tasks she wished she could, like killing the Lycan king for causing pain in the Eclipse Born moon pack.
The Alpha narrowed his gaze at her. "Go on," he permitted. The Alpha was eight years older than Vivian.
"Is there a reason why we must leave for the betterment of the pack? I mean, we are just omegas, we can't possibly possess the ability to save the pack," she finished and looked to him for a response.
"A good question," he uttered, and turned to the man sitting on the chair. "This man you see here is from the Silver Fang pack, and you are to..." he paused. "The Lycan king wants those selected to be his own," he found the right words. "You are all sold and the Lycan king is granted permission to do whatever he wants with you all, that's his request for letting this pack out of his list."
"This information shouldn't be heard outside this room. Anyone caught sharing this information should prepare for the consequences." Alpha warned and turned around to leave when Vivian called and ran to him.
The other omegas began to murmur, but she did not mind their stupid talk. She followed the Alpha out of the room to discuss the matter in the way she saw it, but what came after it was unexpected. The Alpha king was not what she thought he was the whole time she spent with him.
